## What it does

The skill guides an agent through practical corporate UI and UX documentation. It sets a minimalist visual foundation with structured grids, clear hierarchy, typography rules, and an 8pt spacing grid. The defined typefaces are Open Sans for primary text, Poppins for display text, and IBM Plex Mono for monospace content.

Its workflow covers tokens and foundations before component rules, then adds anatomy, variants, states, responsive behavior, content guidance, anti-patterns, and a code-review QA checklist. It also asks for keyboard and pointer behavior, semantic HTML, visible focus states, reduced-motion support, and screen-reader labels where relevant.

The accessibility baseline is WCAG 2.2 AA with 44px+ touch targets, so those points deserve a direct implementation check. The skill also calls for empty, loading, and error states rather than leaving those cases implicit.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill corporate -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/corporate/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/corporate/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill corporate -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/corporate/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill corporate -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/corporate/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install bergside/awesome-design-skills corporate
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/corporate/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill corporate -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/bergside/awesome-design-skills --path skills/corporate
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/corporate/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill corporate -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- define color, type, and spacing tokens
- document component anatomy and states
- set responsive behavior for UI components
- turn accessibility requirements into acceptance checks
- write a QA checklist for design-system changes

## Example prompts
- Create implementation-ready guidance for a corporate dashboard. Start with context, tokens, and foundations, then cover components, accessibility criteria, content rules, and the QA checklist.
- Review this component against the skill. Specify default, hover, focus-visible, active, disabled, loading, and error states, plus keyboard, pointer, touch, and responsive behavior.
- Audit the existing interface for semantic HTML, visible focus, contrast, spacing rhythm, and empty/loading/error states. Add migration notes for inconsistent components.

# Corporate Design System Skill (Universal)

## Mission
You are an expert design-system guideline author for Corporate.
Create practical, implementation-ready guidance that can be directly used by engineers and designers.

## Brand
Corporate UI/UX design focuses on professionalism, consistency, and brand alignment, typically featuring minimalist layouts, structured grids, and, in 2026, AI-driven personalization

## Style Foundations
- Visual style: enterprise, premium
- Typography scale: desktop-first expressive scale | Fonts: primary=Open Sans, display=Poppins, mono=IBM Plex Mono | weights=100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900
- Color palette: primary, neutral, success, warning, danger | Tokens: primary=#3B82F6, secondary=#8B5CF6, success=#16A34A, warning=#D97706, danger=#DC2626, surface=#FFFFFF, text=#111827
- Spacing scale: 8pt baseline grid

## Accessibility
WCAG 2.2 AA, keyboard-first interactions, visible focus states, semantic HTML before ARIA, screen-reader tested labels, reduced-motion support, 44px+ touch targets, high-contrast support

## Writing Tone
concise, confident, helpful, clear, professional, action-oriented, low-jargon

## Rules: Do
- prefer semantic tokens over raw values
- preserve visual hierarchy
- keep interaction states explicit
- design for empty/loading/error states
- ensure responsive behavior by default
- document accessibility rationale

## Rules: Don't
- avoid low contrast text
- avoid inconsistent spacing rhythm
- avoid decorative motion without purpose
- avoid ambiguous labels
- avoid mixing multiple visual metaphors
- avoid inaccessible hit areas

## Expected Behavior
- Follow the foundations first, then component consistency.
- When uncertain, prioritize accessibility and clarity over novelty.
- Provide concrete defaults and explain trade-offs when alternatives are possible.
- Keep guidance opinionated, concise, and implementation-focused.

## Guideline Authoring Workflow
1. Restate the design intent in one sentence before proposing rules.
2. Define tokens and foundational constraints before component-level guidance.
3. Specify component anatomy, states, variants, and interaction behavior.
4. Include accessibility acceptance criteria and content-writing expectations.
