# corehaptics

A skill that hands your agent the Core Haptics docs, so questions about haptic feedback get answered from local reference files.

## What it does

Two files ship with the skill: `corehaptics-index.md` covers the framework, its patterns and events, while `chhapticengine.md` walks through engine setup and playback. Ask about `CHHapticEngine` or a haptic pattern and the agent reads those files instead of guessing.

The answer format is fixed. You get a short summary first, then the file paths holding the full details. Handy when you need to know which API to call and want the long version one click away.

The skill is marked `user-invocable` and runs in a forked context through the Explore subagent, so the docs stay out of your main session. Worth installing if you build for iOS or macOS and touch haptics at all — otherwise the agent answers from memory.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Prisma-Labs-Dev/apple-skills --skill corehaptics -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/corehaptics/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/corehaptics/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Prisma-Labs-Dev/apple-skills --skill corehaptics -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/corehaptics/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Prisma-Labs-Dev/apple-skills --skill corehaptics -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/corehaptics/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install Prisma-Labs-Dev/apple-skills corehaptics
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/corehaptics/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Prisma-Labs-Dev/apple-skills --skill corehaptics -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/Prisma-Labs-Dev/apple-skills --path skills/corehaptics
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/corehaptics/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Prisma-Labs-Dev/apple-skills --skill corehaptics -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/Prisma-Labs-Dev/apple-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/corehaptics/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- set up `CHHapticEngine` and start playback
- look up Core Haptics patterns and events
- get a short answer plus the file with full details
- keep framework docs out of the main session

## Example prompts
- How do I create and start a CHHapticEngine?
- Which haptic patterns does Core Haptics support?
- Show me how to play a haptic event on a button tap
