## What it does

The skill walks through six stages: discovery, evaluation, filtering, monitoring, execution and risk management. Evaluation runs against hard thresholds — at least 50 trades in 30 days, win rate from 55%, profit factor from 1.5, activity within the last 7 days, at least 10 distinct tokens. `scripts/evaluate_wallet.py` produces a composite score from 0 to 100 weighting win rate, profit factor, consistency, recency and how likely the wallet is a bot.

Monitoring can run on Yellowstone gRPC for sub-second latency, Helius Enhanced WebSocket, or plain `getSignaturesForAddress` polling every 5–10 seconds. Trades execute through the Jupiter aggregator with a slippage tolerance you set, and position size is derived from your portfolio rather than the copied wallet's. Risk controls sit outside the copied wallet's behaviour: 10–20% of portfolio per wallet, 3–5 concurrent copy positions, a -15% to -25% stop loss per trade.

Execution is where this gets hard. The wallet you follow filled at a price that no longer exists by the time your order lands, and MEV bots and sandwich attacks are active on Solana. If you hold 10 SOL while the target trades 500 SOL per position, proportional sizing may not even cover fees — worth checking the math before the first live trade.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill copy-trading -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/copy-trading/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/copy-trading/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill copy-trading -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/copy-trading/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill copy-trading -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/copy-trading/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills copy-trading
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/copy-trading/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill copy-trading -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --path skills/copy-trading
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/copy-trading/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills --skill copy-trading -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/agiprolabs/claude-trading-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/copy-trading/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- find Solana wallets with a real track record
- screen out bots and one-hit wallets by metrics
- stream a wallet's swaps in near real time
- size each copy trade from your own portfolio
- set stop losses and daily loss limits independent of the source wallet

## Example prompts
- evaluate this wallet for copy trading suitability
- set up Helius WebSocket monitoring for this wallet
- size a copy trade from my portfolio

# Copy Trading

Wallet evaluation, monitoring, and copy-trade strategy design for Solana DEX trading. Identify profitable wallets on-chain, evaluate whether their edge is real and replicable, monitor their activity in real time, and execute proportionally-sized trades with independent risk controls.

## What Copy Trading Means on Solana

Copy trading is the practice of monitoring one or more wallets that have demonstrated consistent profitability and replicating their trades in your own wallet. On Solana, every DEX swap is publicly visible on-chain within seconds, making it technically feasible to detect and follow any wallet's activity.

### How It Differs from TradFi Copy Trading

| Dimension | TradFi (eToro, etc.) | Solana On-Chain |
|-----------|---------------------|-----------------|
| Data source | Platform-reported P&L | Verifiable on-chain transactions |
| Latency | Minutes to hours | Seconds (websocket) to sub-second (gRPC) |
| Front-running risk | Low | High (MEV bots, sandwich attacks) |
| Trade cost | Commissions + spread | Gas + slippage + priority fees |
| Capacity | High (large-cap equities) | Low (micro-cap tokens have thin liquidity) |
| Signal decay | Slow | Fast (PumpFun tokens move in minutes) |
| Transparency | Partial (delayed reporting) | Full (every transaction is public) |

The core tradeoff: Solana provides perfect transparency but introduces execution risk. The wallet you copy got a price that no longer exists by the time you trade.

## The Copy-Trade Pipeline

### Stage 1 — Discovery

Find wallets with strong track records. Sources include:

- **SolanaTracker Top Traders**: `GET /top-traders/{token}` returns the highest-PnL wallets for any token
- **Birdeye Trader Rankings**: wallet-level P&L leaderboards by token or globally
- **On-chain leaderboards**: community-built dashboards (GMGN, Cielo, Arkham)
- **Social signals**: wallets shared on Twitter/X or Telegram alpha groups
- **Your own analysis**: run `token-holder-analysis` on a token that performed well, then profile the top holders

See `references/wallet_discovery.md` for detailed source documentation and scoring methodology.

### Stage 2 — Evaluation
