## What it does

The skill walks the agent through Goldsky Compose, the offchain-to-onchain TypeScript framework for oracles, keepers, circuit breakers and cross-chain automation. Tasks run in verifiable sandboxes and can use smart wallets, gas sponsorship and durable collections.

It carries the build rules plus pointers to `skills/compose/references/manifest.md`, `cli.md`, `task-context.md` and `wallets-and-gas.md`. A template catalog covers a bitcoin oracle, VRF/drand, dividend distribution and compliance-gated payments. The skill insists you read `manifest.md` before writing any `compose.yaml` or task file, because manifest fields and API signatures must not be guessed from memory.

Before deploying a contract it asks you to run `goldsky compose --version`. Below 0.8.1, or if the command is unrecognized, the agent offers to update. Cloud `deployContract` sponsors gas on the 10-chain Alchemy set (Ethereum, Sepolia, Polygon, Polygon Amoy, Arbitrum, Arbitrum Sepolia, Optimism, Optimism Sepolia, Base, Base Sepolia); elsewhere it fails with `No Alchemy bundler URL for chain <id>`, so you fall back to `forge create` with a funded key. Debugging a broken app goes through `/compose-doctor`, login through `/auth-setup`, secrets through `/secrets`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill compose -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/compose/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/compose/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill compose -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/compose/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill compose -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/compose/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install goldsky-io/goldsky-agent compose
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/compose/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill compose -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --path skills/compose
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/compose/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill compose -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/goldsky-io/goldsky-agent/tree/HEAD/skills/compose/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- write a cron-driven oracle task that pushes a price onchain
- build a keeper that reacts to an onchain event and writes back
- deploy a minimal Solidity contract with `goldsky compose deployContract`
- set up gas-sponsored payouts to a list of holders
- figure out why an existing Compose app won't run

## Example prompts
- Help me build a Compose app: a cron trigger reads the BTC price hourly and writes it to the contract
- I want to distribute dividends to holders — show me the example and build the task
- My Compose app fails on deploy, run /compose-doctor

description: "Always load this skill whenever the conversation is about Goldsky Compose (the offchain-to-onchain TypeScript framework for oracles, keepers, circuit breakers, and cross-chain automation) — no matter what the user wants to do with it. That includes: asking what Compose is, its docs, pricing, functionality, or limits; building, deploying, or iterating on an app; wiring cron / HTTP / onchain-event triggers, smart wallets, gas sponsorship, secrets, or collections; deploying a worked example (bitcoin price oracle, VRF/drand, compliance-gated payments, dividend distribution); or debugging an existing app. This is the entry point — load it FIRST. Before writing any compose.yaml or task file, read skills/compose/references/manifest.md (then cli.md, task-context.md, wallets-and-gas.md as needed). For a worked example, read skills/compose/references/examples/. For a broken app, use /compose-doctor. Do NOT load for Goldsky Turbo, Mirror, Subgraphs, Edge, Boost, or Datasets — those have their own skills."

# Goldsky Compose

Goldsky Compose is the offchain-to-onchain framework for high-stakes systems. Write TypeScript **tasks** that run in verifiable sandboxes — triggered by cron, HTTP, or onchain events — with smart wallets, gas sponsorship, and durable collections. Typical use cases: custom price oracles, keepers, circuit breakers, prediction-market resolvers, cross-chain automation, identity/attestation flows, and notifications.

## Step 0 — Read the reference first

**Before anything else — before you write any `compose.yaml` or task file, quote a field / flag / API shape, or scaffold or deploy an app — read `skills/compose/references/manifest.md`.** Then `cli.md`, `task-context.md`, and `wallets-and-gas.md` as needed. This skill gives the rules and the shape of a build; those files give the exact fields and signatures. The manifest / CLI / API must never be synthesized from memory. Do not emit a manifest or task without the reference loaded.

## Skill family — load `compose` first

`compose` is the entry point for anything Goldsky Compose: **load it first, then pull in the others as needed.**

- **General build rules and concepts** — this skill. It governs every Compose conversation, in-app or local.
- **A specific example** (bitcoin oracle, VRF, dividend distribution, compliance-gated payments) — read the matching file under `skills/compose/references/examples/`. Each carries that app's source and specifics and relies on the rules here; it does not repeat them.
