# commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace

Replaces out-of-the-box B2B Commerce components with open source equivalents in site metadata content.json. Or just reports the mappings when you don't want files touched.

## What it does

The skill rewrites `"definition"` values such as `commerce_builder:heading` into their open `site:` counterparts, using the mapping in `assets/ootb-to-open-code-mapping.json`. Two modes: a full replace that writes to `content.json`, and a lookup that only reports OOTB → `site:` pairs. You can scope the work to a single view under `sfdc_cms__view/<ViewName>/`.

Setup is delegated. The skill reads `sfdx-project.json`, picks the active package directory, then hands off to `commerce-b2b-open-code-components-integrate`, which clones the open source repo into `.tmp/b2b-commerce-open-source-components`, pulls site metadata for the selected store and copies the components in. No clone, no replacement — that handoff is a hard prerequisite.

Scanning always runs first: a `grep` for `"commerce` across `content.json` files, then a parse of the definitions and a cross-check against the mapping. Components missing from the repo or the table get skipped and listed. Name specific components in your request and the multi-select prompt is bypassed.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill commerce-b2b-open-code-components-replace -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- swap OOTB commerce components for open source ones in site metadata
- find the open `site:` component matching a given OOTB definition
- limit a replacement run to one view instead of the whole site
- list which OOTB components a store's `content.json` files actually use
- see which components have no mapping entry

## Example prompts
- replace the OOTB components in my site metadata with open code ones
- find the open code equivalent of commerce_builder:cartBadge
- replace components only in sfdc_cms__view/Checkout

# Replacing OOTB B2B Commerce Components with Open Code

This skill replaces OOTB (out-of-the-box) B2B Commerce component definitions in site metadata `content.json` files with their open source `site:` equivalents, or looks up the equivalent open code component for given OOTB definitions without making changes. It uses an authoritative mapping loaded from `assets/ootb-to-open-code-mapping.json`.

## Scope

**Modes:** **Full replace** runs the scan (Step 1), user selection if needed, then `content.json` updates (Step 2–3). **Lookup only** (user asks for equivalents but not to change files): apply the mapping-authority rule and report OOTB → `site:` for the named components or for definitions found in the scoped `content.json` — **do not** call Write unless the user confirms replacement. **View-scoped** work: limit file discovery and reads to `sfdc_cms__view/<ViewName>/` (or the path the user gives) instead of all views.
