## What it does

This skill targets communication systems research: cellular 4G/5G/6G, satellite NTN, Wi-Fi, and transport congestion control. It operates knowledge-base-first. The agent queries Zotero via MCP, searches Obsidian notes, and scans up to 20 local PDFs in `papers/` or `literature/`. Missing personal libraries do not break the process; the agent skips them silently.

External searches follow a strict database ladder. IEEE Xplore comes first, followed by ScienceDirect and ACM Digital Library. Venues are prioritized by quality tiers, checking Tier A publications such as JSAC, ToN, TWC, SIGCOMM, and INFOCOM first. If no date range is provided, the skill splits papers into foundational work prior to 2022 and modern releases.

If your task involves generic machine learning models or pure control theory without networking papers, this skill is not suitable; the author instructs falling back to a general literature skill. Output summaries group findings by technical axis and explicitly separate transport rate control from PHY/MAC link adaptation.

## Requirements
- Works with: Obsidian

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add wanshuiyin/Auto-claude-code-research-in-sleep --skill comm-lit-review -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/comm-lit-review/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/comm-lit-review/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add wanshuiyin/Auto-claude-code-research-in-sleep --skill comm-lit-review -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/comm-lit-review/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add wanshuiyin/Auto-claude-code-research-in-sleep --skill comm-lit-review -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/comm-lit-review/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install wanshuiyin/Auto-claude-code-research-in-sleep comm-lit-review
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/comm-lit-review/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add wanshuiyin/Auto-claude-code-research-in-sleep --skill comm-lit-review -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/wanshuiyin/Auto-claude-code-research-in-sleep --path skills/comm-lit-review
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/comm-lit-review/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add wanshuiyin/Auto-claude-code-research-in-sleep --skill comm-lit-review -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/wanshuiyin/Auto-claude-code-research-in-sleep/tree/HEAD/skills/comm-lit-review/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- synthesize research on link adaptation and CSI feedback in 5G/6G
- extract relevant papers from local `papers/` folders and Zotero libraries
- filter satellite NTN routing literature strictly by Tier A venues
- analyze transport congestion control with pre-2022 and recent splits

## Example prompts
- Review congestion control literature for LEO satellite networks focusing on top venues.
- Synthesize 6G beamforming papers using: -- sources: zotero, ieee.
- Find rate adaptation studies in the literature/ folder and supplement with papers from 2022 onward.

# Comm Lit Review Claude Single

Research topic: $ARGUMENTS

## Purpose

Use this skill for communications-domain literature review when the topic is about:

- wireless communications
- cellular systems, `4G/5G/6G`, `NR`, `NTN`
- satellite, `LEO`, `GEO`, integrated space-air-ground systems
- Wi-Fi, WLAN, mesh, ad hoc, sidelink, V2X
- routing, scheduling, resource allocation, beamforming
- rate adaptation, link adaptation, `ACM`, `HARQ`, `CSI` feedback
- transport protocols and congestion control in communication networks
- cross-layer optimization for communication systems

If the center of gravity is generic ML architecture research, pure control theory without communications literature, or software/API documentation rather than papers, fall back to a general literature skill.

## Constants

- **PAPER_LIBRARY**: Check local PDFs in this order:
  1. `papers/` in the current project
  2. `literature/` in the current project
  3. Custom path specified by the user in `CLAUDE.md` under `## Paper Library`
- **MAX_LOCAL_PAPERS = 20**: Maximum number of local PDFs to scan. If there are more, prioritize by filename and first-page relevance.

## Source Selection

Parse `$ARGUMENTS` for a `— sources:` directive.

- If `— sources:` is specified, only search the listed sources.
- If not specified, default to:
  - `zotero`
  - `obsidian`
  - `local`
  - `ieee`
  - `sciencedirect`
  - `acm`
  - `web`

Valid source values:

- `zotero`
- `obsidian`
- `local`
- `ieee`
- `sciencedirect`
- `acm`
- `web`
- `all`

If `all` is specified, interpret it as the full default source set.

## Retrieval Order

This is a knowledge-base-first skill. Search in this order unless the user overrides it:

1. `Zotero`
2. `Obsidian`
3. local `papers/` and `literature/`
```
