## What it does

The extension runs signup and login as nine steps. It grabs the authorization link from the CPA panel, opens the form, fills email and password, reads a six-digit code from the mailbox, supplies a random name and birthday, logs in, then approves the consent screen. Codes come from DuckDuckGo, QQ Mail, 163 Mail or Inbucket, whichever you pick in the side panel.

\`background.js` orchestrates the steps and the tabs. The `content/` scripts handle the signup page and each mail provider, `data/names.js` holds the name data, `sidepanel/` is the UI. Run state sits in `chrome.storage.session` and disappears when the browser closes; settings such as the CPA URL and mail service live in `chrome.storage.local` and survive a restart. Step 8 clicks the authorize button through the Chrome `debugger` API and waits for a callback matching `http(s)://localhost:<port>/auth/callback?code=...&state=...`, with a 120-second timeout.

Auto mode chains all nine steps for N rounds. If the `@duck.com` address fails, the run pauses until you type an email yourself. You need your own OAuth management panel URL, plus the Inbucket host and mailbox name when Inbucket supplies the codes.

## Requirements
- Works with: Chrome

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill codex-oauth-automation-extension -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/codex-oauth-automation-extension/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/codex-oauth-automation-extension/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill codex-oauth-automation-extension -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/codex-oauth-automation-extension/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill codex-oauth-automation-extension -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/codex-oauth-automation-extension/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install reason-machines/trending-skills codex-oauth-automation-extension
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/codex-oauth-automation-extension/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill codex-oauth-automation-extension -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/reason-machines/trending-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/codex-oauth-automation-extension/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- run OpenAI OAuth signup without filling every field by hand
- fetch the verification code from DuckDuckGo, QQ Mail, 163 Mail or Inbucket
- submit the callback to the CPA panel and wait for the success badge
- batch several signup rounds back to back in Auto mode
- resume a paused run from the first unhandled step

## Example prompts
- Run codex-oauth-automation-extension in Auto mode for 3 rounds using 163 Mail
- Configure the extension: CPA `https://your-host/management.html#/oauth`, Mail `Inbucket`, host `your-inbucket-host`
- The run paused on the mail step — continue from the current step instead of restarting
