## What it does

The skill covers the whole loop for Cloudflare Workers: tests on each commit, deploys to preview, staging and production, secret handling, post-deploy checks and rollback. It ships four templates, four references and one script, so the agent works from concrete files rather than generic advice.

One section deals with moving to `cloudflare/wrangler-action@v4`. The `apiToken` input became `api-token`, so any workflow still pinned to `@3` stops working until you rename it. The sample pipeline installs dependencies with `oven-sh/setup-bun@v2` and runs `bun test` before the deploy step.

You need a Cloudflare API token with Workers Scripts permissions stored as a repository secret; without it the deploy step fails. Environments live in the `env` block of `wrangler.jsonc`, and production is usually gated behind manual approval.

## Requirements
- Works with: GitLab

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill cloudflare-workers-ci-cd -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/cloudflare-workers-ci-cd/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/cloudflare-workers-ci-cd/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill cloudflare-workers-ci-cd -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/cloudflare-workers-ci-cd/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill cloudflare-workers-ci-cd -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/cloudflare-workers-ci-cd/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install secondsky/claude-skills cloudflare-workers-ci-cd
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/cloudflare-workers-ci-cd/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill cloudflare-workers-ci-cd -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/secondsky/claude-skills --path plugins/cloudflare-workers/skills/cloudflare-workers-ci-cd
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/cloudflare-workers-ci-cd/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add secondsky/claude-skills --skill cloudflare-workers-ci-cd -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/secondsky/claude-skills/tree/HEAD/plugins/cloudflare-workers/skills/cloudflare-workers-ci-cd/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- set up a worker deploy from GitHub Actions from scratch
- fix a workflow that broke after the wrangler-action upgrade
- give every pull request its own preview URL
- keep staging and production on separate environments
- confirm a deploy actually succeeded instead of failing quietly

## Example prompts
- Write a deploy workflow for Cloudflare Workers in `.github/workflows/deploy.yml` with `bun test` before the deploy step
- Why does the deploy fail after switching to `cloudflare/wrangler-action@v4`?
- Set up production and staging environments in `wrangler.jsonc` and deploy from the main branch
