## What it does

Everything goes through one script, `query.mjs`, called as `node .claude/skills/clickup/query.mjs <command> [options]`. There are over twenty commands — `get`, `comments`, `comment`, `status`, `tasks`, `create`, `my-tasks`, `search`, `assign`, `due`, `priority`, `subtask`, `move`, `link`, `checklist`, `delete-comment`, `watch`, `tag`, `description`. Both a full URL like `https://app.clickup.com/t/{task_id}` and a bare ID such as `86a1b2c3d` are accepted.

Setup takes one file. Copy `.env-example` to `.env` inside the skill folder and paste your ClickUp Personal API Token, the one starting with `pk_`, which you generate under Settings > Apps > API Token. Team ID and User ID are detected and cached on the first call. Skip the token and nothing runs.

Set `CLICKUP_DEFAULT_LIST_ID` in the same `.env` if you want to create tasks without naming a list each time. `--json` returns the raw API response, `--subtasks` pulls subtasks into `get`, and `--me` narrows a task list to your own assignments. ClickUp's API has no way to add watchers, so the `watch` command posts a comment with an @mention instead.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add civitai/civitai --skill clickup -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/clickup/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/clickup/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add civitai/civitai --skill clickup -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/clickup/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add civitai/civitai --skill clickup -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/clickup/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install civitai/civitai clickup
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/clickup/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add civitai/civitai --skill clickup -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/civitai/civitai --path apps/event-engine/.claude/skills/clickup
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/clickup/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add civitai/civitai --skill clickup -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/civitai/civitai/tree/HEAD/apps/event-engine/.claude/skills/clickup/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- check a task's status and assignees straight from a link
- create a task in a given list without opening the browser
- assign an owner and set a due date in one call
- find tasks by a word in the title or description
- post a progress comment on a task

## Example prompts
- Pull up task `https://app.clickup.com/t/86a1b2c3d` and tell me who's on it
- Create a task called “Fix login” in list `901111220963` and set it due tomorrow
- List every task assigned to me

Team ID and User ID are auto-detected and cached on first use.

### Default List (Optional)

Set `CLICKUP_DEFAULT_LIST_ID` in `.env` to enable creating tasks without specifying a list:
