## What it does

The skill exposes the cli-anything-nslogger command-line utility to inspect .rawnsloggerdata and .nsloggerdata session files. Agents can read log streams, apply regex patterns, filter by thread, and isolate errors marked with log level 0. Output formats include plain text, structured JSON, and CSV tables.

For live diagnostics, the listen command accepts incoming traffic directly from iOS apps. Its Bonjour discovery mode mirrors the official macOS desktop viewer by advertising a native _nslogger-ssl._tcp service. When auto-discovery is unavailable, direct TLS connections over custom ports keep the pipeline working.

Running live captures without network discovery will fail if the client lacks manual host settings. You must also install the Python package before running any commands, since the CLI binary handles all parsing under the hood.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add HKUDS/CLI-Anything --skill cli-anything-nslogger -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/cli-anything-nslogger/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/cli-anything-nslogger/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add HKUDS/CLI-Anything --skill cli-anything-nslogger -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/cli-anything-nslogger/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add HKUDS/CLI-Anything --skill cli-anything-nslogger -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/cli-anything-nslogger/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install HKUDS/CLI-Anything cli-anything-nslogger
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/cli-anything-nslogger/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add HKUDS/CLI-Anything --skill cli-anything-nslogger -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/HKUDS/CLI-Anything --path skills/cli-anything-nslogger
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/cli-anything-nslogger/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add HKUDS/CLI-Anything --skill cli-anything-nslogger -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/HKUDS/CLI-Anything/tree/HEAD/skills/cli-anything-nslogger/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- inspect captured .rawnsloggerdata crash dumps from iOS devices
- filter unrecoverable errors and warnings by tag or thread ID
- stream live logs over Bonjour during an interactive debugging session
- convert binary NSLogger data into CSV or JSON summaries

## Example prompts
- cli-anything-nslogger stats crash.rawnsloggerdata --json
- Find all level 0 errors in session.rawnsloggerdata with tag Network
- cli-anything-nslogger listen --bonjour --name bazinga --output app.log
