A skill that drives the cs status bar in Claude: switch styles, colors and activity segments, or run diagnostics.

## What it does

The skill turns status-bar tweaking into a conversation with the agent. You say what you want changed, the agent maps that intent to the right `cs` command and runs it through Bash. A decision table inside covers style, density, warning thresholds, cost display, prompt-cache age, session duration, changed lines and git ahead/behind.

Three looks ship with it: `aurora` with block bars, `aurora` with a thin line, and `classic`. Run `cs preview` to see them side by side, and `cs doctor` when the bar misbehaves. Config stores only the keys you changed, so `cs config unset <key>` restores one setting and `cs config reset` wipes the lot.

Upgrade through `cs upgrade` and nothing else. It detects which channel actually runs `cs` and picks the matching path — guessing with `pip install -U` or `uv tool install` breaks when your channel differs. Auto-upgrade is on by default and checks once a day; turn it off with the `auto_upgrade` key or `CLAUDE_STATUSBAR_NO_UPDATE=1`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add leeguooooo/claude-code-usage-bar --skill claude-statusbar -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/claude-statusbar/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/claude-statusbar/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add leeguooooo/claude-code-usage-bar --skill claude-statusbar -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/claude-statusbar/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add leeguooooo/claude-code-usage-bar --skill claude-statusbar -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/claude-statusbar/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install leeguooooo/claude-code-usage-bar claude-statusbar
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/claude-statusbar/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add leeguooooo/claude-code-usage-bar --skill claude-statusbar -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/leeguooooo/claude-code-usage-bar --path skills/claude-statusbar
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/claude-statusbar/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add leeguooooo/claude-code-usage-bar --skill claude-statusbar -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- switch the cs bar between aurora and classic looks
- change density and quota warning thresholds
- show session cost and prompt-cache age
- diagnose why the status bar stopped rendering
- upgrade cs through the channel it was installed from

## Example prompts
- switch the status bar to aurora with the thin line
- show me all three looks with cs preview
- turn on cost and session duration display

# claude-statusbar control skill

Use this skill any time the user wants to inspect, change, customize, or
diagnose the `cs` status bar. Replaces the older individual slash commands
(`/statusbar`, `/statusbar-style`, `/statusbar-preview`,
`/statusbar-doctor`, `/statusbar-reset`) — they still work but this skill
covers all of them with conversational intent.

## Decision tree

Match the user's intent to the right `cs` command. Run it via Bash, then
give a short confirmation (one line, no lecture).

| User intent | Command |
|---|---|
| Inspect current config | `cs config show` |
| Pick a look interactively (user is in their own terminal) | tell them to run `cs theme` — ↑/↓ with live previews, Enter applies; from Claude Code use the config commands below instead |
| Hide the `✦ New looks available` line without picking | `cs config set looks_seen 1` (it goes away for good once `cs theme` has been opened) |
| List styles | `cs styles` |
| Aurora with ■ block bars (default look) | `cs config set style aurora` + `cs config set bar_glyph block` |
| Aurora with a thin ━ line ("细一点") | `cs config set style aurora` + `cs config set bar_glyph thin` |
| Original battery-bar look | `cs config set style classic` |
| Change density | `cs config set density <compact\|regular\|cozy>` |
| Show the three looks side by side | `cs preview` |
| Diagnose problem | `cs doctor` |
| Return one key to its default | `cs config unset <key>` (the config stores only what you changed) |
| Wipe config | `cs config reset` |
| Install / first-time setup | `cs --setup` |
```
