## What it does

\`claude-code-guide` shows how to place a `CLAUDE.md` file at the project root and use it to describe commands, code style, and the order of work. It recommends reading the relevant files before editing, narrowing the search with `grep` or `find`, and running tests after a change.

The guide also covers prompts for deeper analysis, root-cause debugging, log checks, and verbose command output. Work is split into small requests so each result can be reviewed before the next one. If project guidance is not written into `CLAUDE.md`, Claude Code will not receive that persistent project context.

## When to use it
- define project rules in `CLAUDE.md`
- ask Claude Code to trace an error to its root cause
- locate relevant files before editing
- check a change by running the project tests
- inspect logs with verbose command output

## Example prompts
- Create a `CLAUDE.md` for this project with `npm run dev`, `npm test`, and `npm run build`, plus TypeScript and React Hooks conventions.
- Investigate this failure from its root cause: locate the relevant files, propose a small plan, make the change, and run the tests.
- The agent is stuck. Check the logs, rerun the command with verbose output, and record the useful project rule in `CLAUDE.md`.
