# channel-registry

Keeps a record of brand-owned social channels, UGC permissions and posting commitments. Useful when channel facts need revision history instead of a spreadsheet.

## What it does

The skill records channel state, lifecycle transitions, UGC permissions and per-platform voice settings. Everything goes through an append-only event stream at `memory/events/channels.ndjson`; dossiers and Markdown files are derived views regenerated from accepted events. The lifecycle runs `proposed → warming → active → paused → retired`. State cannot be unset or reinitialized, and reactivation is a fresh `paused → warming` transition with evidence rather than a history rewrite.

Other social skills submit `propose` events. Only a host-capability `channel-registry` principal accepts or rejects them through `owner-append` by event ID. A public post, tag or hashtag never produces a permission. Organic permission does not cover paid use either — paid expansion needs creator or contract evidence and a new event.

Before it runs, the skill resolves `AARON_SKILLS_ROOT="${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT:-$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel 2>/dev/null || true)}"` and verifies the registry script, event schema and system catalog. Channel exports and messages count as untrusted evidence. In a standalone one-folder install the skill can only prepare proposals; it cannot append or project canonical channel state without the verified root runtime.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill channel-registry -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/channel-registry/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/channel-registry/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill channel-registry -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/channel-registry/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill channel-registry -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/channel-registry/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills channel-registry
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**

## When to use it
- register a new social channel with objective and evidence
- move a channel from warming to active at a set revision
- record a UGC permission with scope and expiry
- accept or reject a proposal from another social skill by event ID
- regenerate channel, voice and permission views from accepted events

## Example prompts
- Register channel bluesky-acme with governance, objective, canon pointer and cadence evidence.
- Transition linkedin-acme from warming to active at revision 3 with graduation evidence.
- Record organic-only UGC permission for asset ugc-82 with scope, expiry and evidence.

# Channel Registry

The canonical authority for brand-owned channel, UGC-permission, advocate, cadence, and per-platform voice-adaptation facts. It records state; ECHO auditors judge it.

## Quick Start

```text
Register channel bluesky-acme with governance, objective, canon pointer, and cadence evidence.
Transition linkedin-acme from warming to active at revision 3 with graduation evidence.
Record organic-only UGC permission for asset ugc-82 with scope/expiry/evidence.
```
