## What it does

The skill covers Chainlink ACE requests: policies, `PolicyEngine`, Cross-Chain Identity, policy chains, custom policies and extractors, credentials, regulated tokens. CCIP token-pool mechanics belong to `chainlink-ccip-skill`, and a single request can need both skills.

Inside is a set of reference files loaded by request type: contracts and self-deployment, architecture, policy management, the policy library, Cross-Chain Identity, the managed Platform and Beta, API usage. The skill first classifies a request as OSS/self-deployed, managed Platform, or both, then reads only the matching rows. For wallet-limit edits it inspects `POLICY.md`, the target contract source or ABI, and every inherited entry point, and the answer must carry a row for each holder-outflow selector found.

When the source or ABI needed to inspect inherited entry points is missing, the skill stops and prepares no write — you have to get the contract first. The split matters: managed support cannot be inferred from OSS, and Beta limits do not apply to OSS. It runs with `Read`, `WebFetch`, `Write`, `Edit`, and `Bash(curl:*)`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add smartcontractkit/chainlink-agent-skills --skill chainlink-ace-skill -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/chainlink-ace-skill/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/chainlink-ace-skill/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add smartcontractkit/chainlink-agent-skills --skill chainlink-ace-skill -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/chainlink-ace-skill/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add smartcontractkit/chainlink-agent-skills --skill chainlink-ace-skill -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/chainlink-ace-skill/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install smartcontractkit/chainlink-agent-skills chainlink-ace-skill
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/chainlink-ace-skill/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add smartcontractkit/chainlink-agent-skills --skill chainlink-ace-skill -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/smartcontractkit/chainlink-agent-skills --path chainlink-ace-skill
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/chainlink-ace-skill/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add smartcontractkit/chainlink-agent-skills --skill chainlink-ace-skill -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/smartcontractkit/chainlink-agent-skills/tree/HEAD/chainlink-ace-skill/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- map out how the PolicyEngine and policy chains work
- pick a policy for token transfer limits
- check holder-outflow selectors against a contract and its ABI
- set up credential checks and sanctions screening
- tell OSS contract features from managed Platform ones

## Example prompts
- List the holder-outflow selectors in this contract and build the table from `POLICY.md`
- Explain how the PolicyEngine applies a policy to a token transfer
- Walk me through KYC and sanctions screening with Cross-Chain Identity

# Chainlink ACE Skill

## Policy Edit Answer Contract

For every existing wallet-limit edit, inspect `POLICY.md`, the target contract source or ABI, and all inherited/external entry points before any policy recommendation or write preflight. The final answer MUST include one row for every holder-outflow selector actually discovered; do not add fixed categories, placeholder rows, or `not found` rows.

| Exact holder-outflow selector | Scope | Debited owner/account input | Amount input |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |

Keep the canonical mappings prominent when those selectors are present: `transfer(address,uint256)` maps its caller/token owner to `account` and `value` to `amount`; `transferFrom(address,address,uint256)` maps its explicit `from` owner to `account` and `value` to `amount`, never the distinct spender/caller. After the table, explicitly state that no other holder-outflow entry points were found. State separately: **Mint is not a holder outflow.** For any discovered route, fail closed and report an extraction blocker when the extractor/mapper cannot preserve every per-holder owner-and-amount pair.

If the target contract source or ABI needed to inspect inherited/external entry points is unavailable, state that selector inspection is blocked and do not recommend a policy or prepare a write. Name the categories still requiring inspection: direct transfers, delegated transfers, burns, bridges, wrap/unwrap, forced or recovery transfers, batch routes, and other custom/project-specific holder outflows.
