## What it does

The skill administers workspaces via `@cargo-ai/cli`: adds and removes users, assigns roles, creates and rotates API tokens, organizes resources into folders, uploads CSV files for batches, submits bug reports and feature requests to the Cargo team. Most commands require a token with admin access. Commands include `cargo-ai workspaceManagement user`, `token`, `folder`, `role`, `report`, `session`, and `envVar`.

Requires `@cargo-ai/cli` (npm) and authentication via `cargo-ai login --email` (emailed code), `--oauth` (browser), or `--token` (for CI). Questions about credits, plans, or invoices fall outside its scope — use cargo-billing for those.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add getcargohq/cargo-skills --skill cargo-workspace-management -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/cargo-workspace-management/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/cargo-workspace-management/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add getcargohq/cargo-skills --skill cargo-workspace-management -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/cargo-workspace-management/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add getcargohq/cargo-skills --skill cargo-workspace-management -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/cargo-workspace-management/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install getcargohq/cargo-skills cargo-workspace-management
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/cargo-workspace-management/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add getcargohq/cargo-skills --skill cargo-workspace-management -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/getcargohq/cargo-skills --path cargo-workspace-management
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/cargo-workspace-management/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add getcargohq/cargo-skills --skill cargo-workspace-management -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- invite a teammate to the workspace and assign a role
- create an API token for a CI pipeline
- list who has access to the workspace
- organize plays and agents into folders
- rotate an old token and issue a new one

## Example prompts
- Invite user@example.com with the admin role
- Create an API token for GitHub Actions
- Show all workspace members

## Bootstrap

Already signed in (`cargo-ai whoami` returns a workspace)? Skip to the next section.

```bash
npm install -g @cargo-ai/cli            # no global install? prefix every command with `npx @cargo-ai/cli`
cargo-ai login --email you@company.com  # emailed code, no browser; creates the account on first use
                                        # alternatives: --oauth (browser) · --token <api-token> (CI)
cargo-ai whoami                         # confirm the active workspace before any write
```
