## What it does

The skill covers three Capawesome Cloud workflows for Capacitor and Cordova apps. Native Builds compiles iOS and Android in the cloud: it connects a Git repository, uploads signing certificates, configures environments and secrets, and hands back build artifacts. Live Updates installs `@capawesome/capacitor-live-update` or `@capawesome/cordova-live-update` and adds channels, versioning, rollbacks, and rollback protection. App Store Publishing ships finished builds to TestFlight and Google Play.

Inside are step-by-step procedures split across `references/native-builds.md`, `references/live-updates.md`, `references/app-store-publishing.md`, plus a troubleshooting reference for failed builds. The agent first asks which of the three features you need, then follows the matching path. When the Capawesome MCP server is available, the skill tells it to check current docs through `search_docs` and `get_doc_page`, since those stay ahead of the bundled guidance.

You need a Capawesome Cloud account, Node.js, and npm. Native Builds requires the app to live in a Git repository; Apple App Store publishing needs an active Apple Developer Program membership, and Google Play needs a developer account with at least one version uploaded manually. The skill is not meant for React Native or Flutter — Capacitor and Cordova only.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add capawesome-team/skills --skill capawesome-cloud -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/capawesome-cloud/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/capawesome-cloud/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add capawesome-team/skills --skill capawesome-cloud -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/capawesome-cloud/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add capawesome-team/skills --skill capawesome-cloud -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/capawesome-cloud/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install capawesome-team/skills capawesome-cloud
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/capawesome-cloud/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add capawesome-team/skills --skill capawesome-cloud -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/capawesome-team/skills --path skills/capawesome-cloud
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/capawesome-cloud/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add capawesome-team/skills --skill capawesome-cloud -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/capawesome-team/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/capawesome-cloud/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build iOS and Android in the cloud without local Xcode
- set up OTA updates with channels and rollback
- push a build to TestFlight and Google Play automatically
- upload signing certificates and provisioning profiles
- debug a failed build from logs and environment variables

## Example prompts
- Help me set up cloud builds for iOS and Android with Capawesome Cloud
- Wire live updates into my Capacitor app with rollback protection
- Configure automatic publishing to TestFlight and Google Play

# Capawesome Cloud

Set up and manage native builds, live updates, and app store publishing for Capacitor and Cordova apps using Capawesome Cloud.

## Prerequisites

1. A [Capawesome Cloud](https://console.cloud.capawesome.io) account and organization.
2. A **Capacitor 6/7/8** or **Cordova** app. Notes:
   - **Live Updates**: supported on both Capacitor (Android, iOS, and — on Capacitor 8 only — the Electron desktop platform `@capawesome/capacitor-electron`) and Cordova.
   - **Native Builds**: supported on Capacitor, Cordova, and native iOS/Android projects.
   - **App Store Publishing**: framework-agnostic — works with any native build produced by Native Builds.
3. Node.js and npm installed.
4. For **Native Builds**: The app must be in a Git repository (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps).
5. For **Apple App Store Publishing**: An active [Apple Developer Program](https://developer.apple.com/programs/) membership and an app created in [App Store Connect](https://appstoreconnect.apple.com).
