## What it does

The skill walks through your article and picks out where a picture earns its place: metrics, workflows, side-by-side options, history. It then proposes one of six types — `infographic`, `scene`, `flowchart`, `comparison`, `framework`, `timeline` — plus a visual style. The two dimensions combine freely, so `--type infographic --style blueprint` is a valid pairing.

The run is staged: pre-check, content analysis, a settings confirmation through `AskUserQuestion`, an outline in `outline.md`, image generation, then final insertion. Prompt files land in `prompts/NN-{type}-{slug}.md` before anything is generated, and their labels have to carry real numbers and terms pulled from the article. Output goes to `illustrations/{topic-slug}/`.

One thing to know up front: the skill looks for an `EXTEND.md` file in `.canghe-skills/canghe-article-illustrator/` or in your home directory. Miss it and the step blocks, kicking off a first-time setup instead — nothing generates until that finishes.
