## What it does

The skill covers a launch end to end: one goal and metric, a launch type (soft, hard or phased), one to three platforms, and a week-by-week map. It works through the STORY framework, from setting the goal and writing the brief to the final debrief. The three phases — tease, launch, sustain — run as a single story.

Before planning, it reads `brand-profile` and `goals-and-kpis` for audience, voice and target metrics. WoopSocial handles scheduling and publishing the coordinated posts on the timeline, with format checks through `platform-specs-and-validation`. The waitlist, hub, email sequence, checkout, paid ads, press outreach and livestream stay external or native — the skill does not run them.

Urgency has to be credible, so fake countdowns and invented scarcity are out. Conversions and ROI come from native analytics and the store, not from the skill. If you want an always-on posting cadence instead of a one-off push, that is `content-calendar`.

Install runs through `npx skills add`; GitHub Copilot uses `gh skill install`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill campaign-and-launch-planning -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/campaign-and-launch-planning/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/campaign-and-launch-planning/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill campaign-and-launch-planning -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/campaign-and-launch-planning/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill campaign-and-launch-planning -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/campaign-and-launch-planning/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install social-media-skills/skills campaign-and-launch-planning
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/campaign-and-launch-planning/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill campaign-and-launch-planning -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/social-media-skills/skills --path skills/campaign-and-launch-planning
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/campaign-and-launch-planning/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill campaign-and-launch-planning -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- plan a product launch from teaser to post-launch sustain
- build a week-by-week campaign map around one goal and metric
- schedule coordinated posts per platform on the timeline
- design a waitlist and pre-launch push before launch day
- read per-channel results against targets without inventing numbers

## Example prompts
- plan a three-week launch for our new release, one goal: waitlist signups
- build the week-by-week map across tease, launch and sustain, then schedule the posts
- check that the urgency in these posts is real and drop the fake countdowns

  Plan and orchestrate a product launch or social media campaign end to end — the multi-week arc,
  channel by channel. Use when someone wants to plan a launch, product drop, campaign, big
  announcement, waitlist/pre-launch push, or coordinated multi-platform moment. Plans a time-boxed
  campaign as ONE story across three phases (tease -> launch -> sustain) toward a single goal, and
  schedules the coordinated social posts via WoopSocial. Uses the STORY framework. Reads
  brand-profile + goals-and-kpis first. WoopSocial schedules + publishes the social posts on the
  timeline; the waitlist/hub, email sequence, checkout, paid ads, press/creator outreach, and
  livestream are external/native, and conversion/ROI come from native analytics + the store (never
  fabricated). Urgency must be credible (no fake countdowns/scarcity). Distinct from
  content-calendar (the ongoing always-on cadence) and goals-and-kpis (the targets a campaign
  serves).

# campaign-and-launch-planning

A **strategy/orchestration skill** — plan the time-boxed campaign (goal, phases, week-by-week map, the brief,
the posts) and let **WoopSocial schedule + publish the coordinated social posts** on the timeline. The agent
**plans + writes + schedules the social side**; the **waitlist/hub, email, ads, checkout, press, and
livestream are external/native.**

## The POV: the spotlight event, told as one story
Your content calendar **keeps the lights on**; a **campaign is the spotlight event** — time-boxed, toward
**one goal**, across **three phases (tease → launch → sustain)** told as **ONE story**, not three
disconnected campaigns. Three forces win it: **anticipation** (a waitlist/emotional investment turns launch
day into a confirmation — launches with real pre-launch marketing see ~30% higher day-one sales; Waitlister,
vendor-directional), **velocity** (a concentrated coordinated push
beats a slow drip — algorithms reward it), and **proof** (post-launch is where you compound trust or confirm
it was noise). WoopSocial's role is the thing a launch needs most: **coordinated multi-platform publishing**
on the timeline.

## Read these first
1. **brand-profile** — audience/voice.
2. **goals-and-kpis** — the one primary goal + success metric.
