## What it does

The skill runs `scripts/monitor.py` against four sources: Reddit through its public JSON API, Google News through RSS, DuckDuckGo through the Instant Answer API, and YouTube through HTML and RSS. Each run returns mention volume, a platform breakdown, sentiment split into positive, neutral and negative, trending keywords, and share-of-voice against competitors. Basic monitoring needs no API key.

Crisis detection is built in. Above 40% negative mentions the skill marks a crisis and tells you to respond right away; between 20% and 40% it points you at the sources to investigate. Reports include a 7-day trend graph and a list of spikes.

Source reliability varies. Google News and DuckDuckGo behave, Reddit hits rate limits, and YouTube is parsed from HTML, so a markup change can break it. Space out your runs if you monitor often. There is a `--demo` mode for checking the output format without real requests.
