## What it does

The skill reads a finished post and pulls out the key insights, source-backed statistics, quotes and the main argument. Then you pick the channels: an X thread or Premium long post, a LinkedIn feed post or article, a set of Threads or Bluesky posts, a vertical script for TikTok, Reels or Shorts, a long-form YouTube script, a community variant for Reddit, Mastodon, Discord or Slack, a newsletter excerpt, a podcast script. Name a platform up front and the selection step is skipped.

The formats are fixed. The hook tweet stays under 280 characters, threads run 7-9 tweets, a LinkedIn feed post goes up to 3,000 characters, an article or newsletter edition 800-1,200 words. Statistics are reused only when the source post backs them. If a format calls for a number and no verified one fits, the skill writes a qualitative insight instead of rounding something up.

The honesty rules are the part worth knowing before you install. Anything that wants first-hand material — a LinkedIn opening, a Reddit post, a credibility line in a video intro, a podcast anecdote — is not invented. Without a real experience from you, the skill either writes from the post's sourced findings in third person or leaves a marked placeholder like `[YOUR EXPERIENCE: ...]` and does not fill it in. Check each platform's current rules on AI-assisted content and self-promotion before you post. Paths are resolved through `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}`, and nonabsolute overrides are refused.

## Requirements
- Works with: LinkedIn

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-repurpose -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/blog-repurpose/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/blog-repurpose/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-repurpose -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/blog-repurpose/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-repurpose -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/blog-repurpose/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install AgriciDaniel/claude-blog blog-repurpose
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/blog-repurpose/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-repurpose -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --path skills/blog-repurpose
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/blog-repurpose/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-repurpose -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/AgriciDaniel/claude-blog/tree/HEAD/skills/blog-repurpose/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- turn a finished post into an X thread
- draft a LinkedIn post from a blog article
- write a YouTube or Shorts script from a post
- pull a newsletter excerpt out of a long article
- prepare a Reddit variant without inventing stories

## Example prompts
- repurpose `posts/seo-audit.md` into an X thread
- turn this post into a LinkedIn post
- youtube script from `posts/launch.md`

  Turn an existing blog post into draft text for other channels: X threads,
  LinkedIn posts, Threads/Bluesky, short-video scripts, YouTube scripts, Reddit

  posts anywhere. Never invents personal stories or results: first-hand framing
  appears only when the user supplies it. Use when the user says "repurpose",

# Blog Repurpose: Cross-Platform Content Adaptation

Bundled paths below use host Markdown substitution of `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}`;
it is not an exported shell variable. Resolve them before execution, quote
paths, and refuse nonabsolute overrides. Pass `blog_reference_root` resolved
from `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../blog/references`, `blog_template_root` from
`${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../blog/templates`, and needed sibling roots to agents.
Read the main reference `orchestration-details.md` before loading project
context; pass only its helper-fenced output to downstream agents.

Transforms blog posts into platform-optimized content for social media, email,
video, and community channels. Each output adapts tone, format, and length to
match platform conventions and audience expectations.

**Honesty rules for every output.**
- Write only what the source post, its cited sources, or the user supplied.
  Never invent a personal story, anecdote, customer, test, number of campaigns or
  clients, result, or credential, and never write as if the user ran an
  experiment they did not describe.
- Where a format wants first-hand material (LinkedIn opening, Reddit post,
  video intro credibility line, podcast anecdote), ask the user for the real
  experience or results to use. If none is supplied, either write the piece
  from the post's sourced findings in third person ("The study found...") or
  leave a clearly marked placeholder such as `[YOUR EXPERIENCE: one true
  sentence about what you saw]`. Do not fill placeholders yourself.
- Attribute findings to their sources, not to the author's own work, unless the
  post presents them as the author's own data.
