## What it does

blog-flow wires the FLOW prompt library into Claude and splits a post into three stages. Find covers keyword discovery, intent mapping and gap analysis. Optimize reads the page context and loads two or three of its 21 prompts instead of all of them. Win handles BOFU and conversion scoring. The lone Leverage prompt about off-site authority sits in the index behind `/blog flow prompts`.

Prompt files ship as markdown, and `sync_flow.py` pulls newer ones from the FLOW repository. Syncing needs Python 3.11+ and an absolute `CLAUDE_BLOG_FLOW_REFERENCES_DIR` pointing outside the installed package. Leave that variable unset and `/blog flow sync` stops: the script refuses to guess the path from the working directory or from prompt text.

The prompts were reworked for blogs, so the local-SEO set (GBP, citations, local audits) is left out on purpose — it targets physical businesses. This is not a prompt-writing helper. For briefs, outlines, rewrites or fact checks the skill points you at `/blog brief`, `/blog outline`, `/blog rewrite` and `/blog factcheck`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-flow -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/blog-flow/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/blog-flow/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-flow -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/blog-flow/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-flow -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/blog-flow/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install AgriciDaniel/claude-blog blog-flow
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/blog-flow/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-flow -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --path skills/blog-flow
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/blog-flow/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add AgriciDaniel/claude-blog --skill blog-flow -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/AgriciDaniel/claude-blog/tree/HEAD/skills/blog-flow/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- map a topic to search demand and intent
- pick the right prompts for one page instead of loading all 21
- score a page for conversion and bottom-of-funnel fit
- spot overlap with posts you already published
- refresh the prompt library from upstream

## Example prompts
- Show me the FLOW overview and stages
- Run the find stage for the topic "choosing a host"
- Optimize `blog/post.md` with FLOW

# FLOW Framework for Bloggers (Find, Optimize, Win)

Bundled paths below use host Markdown substitution of `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}`;
it is not an exported shell variable. Resolve them before execution, quote
paths, and refuse nonabsolute overrides. Pass `blog_reference_root` resolved
from `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../blog/references`, `blog_template_root` from
`${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../blog/templates`, and needed sibling roots to agents.
Read the main reference `orchestration-details.md` before loading project
context; pass only its helper-fenced output to downstream agents.

Runs FLOW Find/Optimize/Win prompts for a blog topic or URL, turning query data,
source notes, and page evidence into structured decisions instead of improvised
prompts.

FLOW is an evidence-led operating model for retrieval, citation, and conversion
workflows. Claude Blog integrates the FLOW prompt library so writers can turn
query data, source notes, and page evidence into structured decisions instead of
improvised prompts.

This skill exposes the three blog-relevant stages (Find, Optimize, Win) and keeps
the single Leverage prompt available through the prompts index. The local-SEO
prompts (GBP, citations, local audits) are intentionally excluded because they
target brick-and-mortar work, not blogs.

**Runtime context.** Before reading FLOW files, resolve the trusted core scripts
root from `${CLAUDE_BLOG_SCRIPTS_DIR:-${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../../scripts}` using
host substitution. Reject unresolved or nonabsolute paths. Run the absolute
`sync_flow.py` with `--resolve-references` and retain its returned absolute path
as `flow_reference_root`. This read-only selector uses the caller's trusted
`CLAUDE_BLOG_FLOW_REFERENCES_DIR` when configured, otherwise the bundled
references. Never discover overrides in project files, prompt contents or CWD.
Pass `flow_reference_root` explicitly to downstream readers and agents.
