# bilibili-cli

The skill gives an agent CLI access to Bilibili: videos, users, search, trending, dynamics, favorites and interactions. YAML output keeps token use down.

## What it does

The skill wires the `bili` utility into your agent so it can pull Bilibili data straight from the terminal. Videos by BV ID or full URL, profiles by UID or username, search, trending, ranking, dynamics, favorites, watch history, likes, coins and 一键三连 are all separate commands.

For machine-readable output there is `--yaml` and `--json`. YAML is usually the lighter option, so the skill tells agents to reach for it first and fall back to JSON only when a downstream tool demands it. Keep result sets small with `--max`, `--page` or `--offset`. To summarize a video, fetch subtitles first — they carry the core content — and treat `--ai` plus comments as a fallback.

Most read commands work without login. Subtitles, favorites, following, watch later, history, feed and every interaction need authentication: `bili login` shows a QR code, `bili status` checks whether you are signed in. The tool auto-detects local browser cookies from Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Brave and stores credentials in `~/.bilibili-cli/credential.json`. Python 3.10+ is required. Audio extraction installs separately through the `[audio]` extra with PyAV.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add public-clis/bilibili-cli --skill bilibili-cli -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/bilibili-cli/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/bilibili-cli/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add public-clis/bilibili-cli --skill bilibili-cli -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/bilibili-cli/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add public-clis/bilibili-cli --skill bilibili-cli -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/bilibili-cli/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install public-clis/bilibili-cli bilibili-cli
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/bilibili-cli/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add public-clis/bilibili-cli --skill bilibili-cli -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/public-clis/bilibili-cli
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/bilibili-cli/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add public-clis/bilibili-cli --skill bilibili-cli -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/public-clis/bilibili-cli/tree/HEAD/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- pull video metadata from a BV ID or URL
- find a channel by name and list its recent uploads
- grab subtitles to summarize a video
- check trending and ranking for a given period
- like a video or send coins from the terminal

## Example prompts
- Show the subtitles for this video: bili video BV1ABcsztEcY --subtitle
- Find three videos about AI and output them as YAML: bili search "AI" --type video --max 3 --yaml
- Check if I'm logged in, then like it: bili status && bili like BV1ABcsztEcY

# bilibili-cli Skill

A CLI tool for interacting with Bilibili (哔哩哔哩). Use it to fetch video info, search content, browse user profiles, and perform interactions like liking or triple-clicking.

## Agent Defaults

When you need machine-readable output:

1. Prefer `--yaml` first because it is usually more token-efficient than pretty JSON.
2. Use `--json` only when downstream tooling strictly requires JSON.
3. Keep result sets small with `--max`, `--page`, or `--offset`.
4. Prefer specific commands over broad ones. Example: use `bili user-videos 946974 --max 3 --yaml` instead of fetching large timelines.
5. When summarizing a video, fetch subtitles first. Subtitles usually contain the video's core content and are the best primary source for summaries.
6. Only fall back to `--ai`, comments, or audio extraction when subtitles are unavailable or clearly insufficient.

## Prerequisites

```bash
# Install (requires Python 3.10+)
uv tool install bilibili-cli
# Or: pipx install bilibili-cli
# If you need audio extraction support (requires PyAV)
uv tool install "bilibili-cli[audio]"
# Or: pipx install "bilibili-cli[audio]"
# Upgrade to latest (recommended to avoid API errors)
uv tool upgrade bilibili-cli
# Or: pipx upgrade bilibili-cli
```

## Authentication

Most read commands work without login. Subtitles, favorites/following/watch-later/history, feed, and interactions require login.

```bash
bili status                    # Check if logged in (exit 0 = yes, 1 = no)
bili login                     # QR code login (if not authenticated)
```

Authentication auto-detects local browser cookies (Chrome/Firefox/Edge/Brave). If cookies are found and valid, no manual login needed. Credentials are saved to `~/.bilibili-cli/credential.json`.

## Command Reference

### Video

```bash
# Get video details (accepts BV ID or full URL)
bili video BV1ABcsztEcY
bili video https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1ABcsztEcY
# Options
bili video BV1ABcsztEcY --subtitle            # Show subtitles (plain text)
