## What it does

The skill routes tasks to `bd` commands for finding workflows and charts, reading metrics, investigating issue groups, and inspecting sessions. For guide-backed work, it locates relevant instructions with `bd guides`; `bd schema` provides the current request and response fields.

The `bd` CLI must be installed. Interactive sign-in uses `bd auth`, while automation can use `BD_API_KEY`. Guide routing requires `bd` version 0.2.43 or newer, so check `bd --version` if guides are unavailable. An API key should never go into a command, transcript, or report.

## Install

- File: `~/.claude/skills/bd-cli/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/bd-cli/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bitdriftlabs/bd-skills --skill bd-cli -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/bd-cli/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add bitdriftlabs/bd-skills --skill bd-cli -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/bd-cli/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/
