## What it does

The skill covers creating, retrieving, updating, and deleting Playwright Testing workspaces. It also shows how to check whether a workspace name is available and inspect quotas at subscription or workspace level. The examples use the Azure Resource Manager SDK for .NET.

To add it to Claude Code, run `npx skills add microsoft/skills --skill azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet -a claude-code`. The skill file is at `~/.claude/skills/azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet/SKILL.md`. Its Azure examples use `Azure.ResourceManager.Playwright`, `Azure.Identity`, and `AZURE_SUBSCRIPTION_ID`. This is for managing Azure resources; the description points to `Azure.Developer.MicrosoftPlaywrightTesting.NUnit` for test execution instead.

## Requirements
- Works with: Azure, Playwright

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add microsoft/skills --skill azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet/

### Codex

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install microsoft/skills azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/microsoft/skills --path .github/plugins/azure-sdk-dotnet/skills/azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/microsoft/skills/tree/HEAD/.github/plugins/azure-sdk-dotnet/skills/azure-resource-manager-playwright-dotnet/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- provision a Playwright Testing workspace through Azure Resource Manager
- check whether a workspace name is available
- inspect subscription and workspace quotas
- change tags on an existing workspace
- delete a Playwright Testing workspace

## Example prompts
- Create a Playwright Testing workspace in my resource group through Azure Resource Manager.
- Check whether `my-new-workspace` is available as a Playwright workspace name.
- Show the Playwright subscription and workspace quotas for `WestUS3`.

# Azure.ResourceManager.Playwright (.NET)

Management plane SDK for provisioning and managing Microsoft Playwright Testing workspaces via Azure Resource Manager.

> **⚠️ Management vs Test Execution**
> - **This SDK (Azure.ResourceManager.Playwright)**: Create workspaces, manage quotas, check name availability
> - **Test Execution SDK (Azure.Developer.MicrosoftPlaywrightTesting.NUnit)**: Run Playwright tests at scale on cloud browsers

## Installation

```bash
dotnet add package Azure.ResourceManager.Playwright
dotnet add package Azure.Identity
```

**Current Versions**: Stable v1.0.0, Preview v1.0.0-beta.1

## Environment Variables

```bash
AZURE_SUBSCRIPTION_ID=<your-subscription-id>  # Required: Azure subscription ID
AZURE_TOKEN_CREDENTIALS=prod  # Required only if DefaultAzureCredential is used in production
AZURE_TENANT_ID=<tenant-id>  # For service principal auth (optional)
AZURE_CLIENT_ID=<client-id>  # For service principal auth (optional)
AZURE_CLIENT_SECRET=<client-secret>  # For service principal auth (optional)
```

## Authentication

```csharp
using Azure.Identity;
using Azure.ResourceManager;
using Azure.ResourceManager.Playwright;
// Local dev: DefaultAzureCredential. Production: set AZURE_TOKEN_CREDENTIALS=prod or AZURE_TOKEN_CREDENTIALS=<specific_credential>
var credential = new DefaultAzureCredential(
    DefaultAzureCredential.DefaultEnvironmentVariableName
);
// Or use a specific credential directly in production:
// See https://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/overview/azure/identity-readme?view=azure-dotnet#credential-classes
// var credential = new ManagedIdentityCredential();
var armClient = new ArmClient(credential);
// Get subscription
var subscriptionId = Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("AZURE_SUBSCRIPTION_ID");
var subscription = armClient.GetSubscriptionResource(
    new ResourceIdentifier($"/subscriptions/{subscriptionId}"));
```

## Resource Hierarchy

```
ArmClient
└── SubscriptionResource
    ├── PlaywrightQuotaResource (subscription-level quotas)
    └── ResourceGroupResource
        └── PlaywrightWorkspaceResource
            └── PlaywrightWorkspaceQuotaResource (workspace-level quotas)
```

## Core Workflow

### 1. Create Playwright Workspace

```csharp
using Azure.ResourceManager.Playwright;
using Azure.ResourceManager.Playwright.Models;
