# automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate

Turns a Salesforce sandbox-refresh SOP into the JSON array the post-copy automation tool reads. Useful when the runbook lives in a PDF, spreadsheet or screenshot.

## What it does

The skill reads your SOP in any supported format — PDF, xlsx, csv, JSON, docx, Markdown, plain text, or an image of an endpoint table — and picks out the post-copy actions. Each action becomes one entry of four possible types: `OutboundMessages`, `RemoteSiteSettings`, `ScheduledApex` or `Flows`. An entry carries five top-level keys: `ConfigurationName`, `Label`, `Fields`, `IsActive` and `ExecutionOrder`.

Before writing the file, the skill has to open `assets/config_template.json` and `references/configuration_catalog.md` and copy an entry shape from there instead of composing JSON from memory. Field keys stay in PascalCase: `EndpointUrl` plus `Object` for OBM, `RemoteSiteUrl` for a remote site, `ApexClassName` with `CronExpression` and `JobName` for ScheduledApex, `FlowApiName` and `Action` for Flows. `ExecutionOrder` is a phase number, so independent entries of the same type share one value.

Values come only from your source. If the SOP gives no concrete URL or name for an action, the entry is skipped rather than filled with a `TBD` placeholder. Deploying the config to an org and running the post-copy tool itself belong to sibling skills. Output defaults to `post-copy-config.json` in the current directory.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill automation-sandbox-post-copy-config-generate -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- build a JSON config from a sandbox-refresh runbook
- extract an endpoint table from a screenshot into structured entries
- set the execution order of post-copy actions
- convert a docx or xlsx SOP into an entry array
- update outbound message endpoints after a refresh

## Example prompts
- Build the post-copy config from this SOP: `sop.pdf`
- Convert the sandbox refresh runbook into JSON with OutboundMessages and RemoteSiteSettings entries
- Update the OBM endpoints after refresh using the table in this screenshot

# Automation: Sandbox Post-Copy Config Generate

Convert a customer's sandbox-refresh / post-copy SOP into a structured JSON
array that the post-copy automation tool consumes. Each entry is a
declarative instruction: which Salesforce configuration to update, which
fields are involved, whether it is active, and what order it runs in.

## STOP — do this before writing any JSON

Do **not** compose the output from memory. Before you write the file, you
MUST open and read `assets/config_template.json` and copy an entry from it
for each action. Every output entry is exactly one of these four shapes —
