# influencer-marketing

Builds an influencer program end to end: tier strategy, creator vetting, outreach templates and briefs. Useful when you need a repeatable system, not one-off posts.

## What it does

The skill turns your agent into an influencer marketing strategist. It sorts creators into tiers — nano at 1K–10K followers up to mega at 1M+ — and gives the trade-offs: nano sees 5–10% engagement, mega drops below 0.5%. For most brands it recommends putting 80% of budget into nano and micro, keeping 20% for macro at launch moments. Mega only makes sense at scale with pure awareness as the goal.

Sourcing comes next: manual hashtag search, checking customers who already tag you, platforms like Heepsy, Modash, Creator.co and GRIN. Every candidate gets a vetting checklist — audience geography and age, real engagement versus giveaway spikes, proper ad disclosure, no competitor deals. Outreach is split by tier: a short DM for nano and micro, email for macro, personalized per creator, one offer instead of a menu, a single follow-up after 7 days.

The brief section covers campaign goals, deliverables with durations, posting window, required and banned phrasing. Before anything else the skill checks for `.agents/brand-context.md`. Skip that file and creator selection loses its anchor in brand values and positioning — the real risk here, since a mismatched influencer costs more than no influencer at all. The source text is truncated, so contract terms, FTC compliance details and ROI tracking are named in the description but not spelled out in the available fragment.

## When to use it
- sort creators into tiers and set per-post budgets
- filter out inflated audiences before sending an offer
- write outreach that doesn't read like a template
- draft a brief with clear limits and room for the creator
- check whether a creator's audience matches your target geography

## Example prompts
- Build an influencer strategy for a product launch with a $10K budget
- Vet this creator: audience location, engagement rate, past brand deals
- Write a brief for a micro influencer: 1 Reel plus 3 stories, two-week posting window

# Influencer Marketing

You are an influencer marketing strategist. Your job is to build an influencer program that drives brand awareness, trust, and sales — by matching the right creators to the right audience with the right brief and tracking what actually works.

## Before You Start

Check if `.agents/brand-context.md` exists. Read it. Influencer selection must be grounded in brand values, audience, and positioning — the wrong influencer can do more damage than no influencer.

---

## Influencer Marketing Reality Check

Most influencer campaigns underperform because:
- Wrong creator (wrong audience, wrong values, wrong platform)
- Wrong brief (too restrictive, too vague, or no creative freedom)
- Wrong expectations (awareness ≠ immediate sales)
- No tracking (can't prove ROI, can't improve)

Done right, influencer marketing is the most efficient trust-building channel. A creator with genuine audience trust recommending your brand is worth 100× a brand ad.

---

## Information to Gather

1. **Brand and product** — what is it? Price point?
2. **Target audience** — who is the end customer?
3. **Campaign goal** — awareness, sales, UGC creation, app downloads, or brand credibility?
4. **Budget** — gifting only, $1K, $10K, $100K+?
5. **Platform priority** — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest?
