# archetype-review-base

Standardizes domain review reports in Claude Code. It creates TM-{slug}.md threat models, checks source quotes, and enforces repro steps for critical findings.

## What it does

The skill provides a shared foundation for thirty domain-specific reviewers in the `great_cto` suite, covering domains such as PCI, healthcare, and oracle integrations. Before implementation starts, agents append their findings to a single file at `docs/sec-threats/TM-{slug}.md` alongside a `<!-- HANDOFF -->` marker. Keeping one shared artifact prevents reviews from slipping past automated glob checks.

Every report adheres to a rigid section order: target commits, regulatory references, scope limits, findings, and an `APPROVED` or `BLOCKED` verdict. Critical and High items must include exact reproduction commands alongside concrete fixes. Vague complaints without a standard are rejected. Before referencing repo lines, findings verify snippets against the filesystem with `quote-verify.mjs`.

Critical and High issues move into the `bd` task tool. The framework prohibits the fixer from verifying their own repair. A separate agent must re-run the reproduction and confirm it passes before closing the task. This workflow handles domain heuristics rather than fallback STRIDE threat modeling.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add avelikiy/great_cto --skill archetype-review-base -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/archetype-review-base/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/archetype-review-base/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add avelikiy/great_cto --skill archetype-review-base -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/archetype-review-base/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add avelikiy/great_cto --skill archetype-review-base -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/archetype-review-base/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install avelikiy/great_cto archetype-review-base
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/archetype-review-base/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add avelikiy/great_cto --skill archetype-review-base -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/avelikiy/great_cto --path skills/archetype-review-base
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/archetype-review-base/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add avelikiy/great_cto --skill archetype-review-base -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/avelikiy/great_cto/tree/HEAD/skills/archetype-review-base/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- Standardize domain review reports inside a shared `TM-{slug}.md` file
- Enforce reproduction steps and precise fixes for high-severity issues
- Validate code quotes against repository files using `quote-verify.mjs`
- Track review findings in `bd` with separate fixer and verifier roles

## Example prompts
- Run an architectural review following archetype-review-base and write the report to TM-billing-v2.md
- Add a findings section to TM-auth.md citing PCI DSS requirements and reproduction steps
- Verify report citations with quote-verify.mjs and determine the final BLOCKED or APPROVED verdict

# Archetype-review-base — shared review framework

Every domain reviewer follows this skeleton. Each reviewer's own
SKILL.md adds the domain heuristics on top. This skill defines the
parts that must be IDENTICAL across all reviewers.

## Output artifact (canonical)

Pre-implementation reviewers (the `*-reviewer` agents — ~30 in `agents/` —
invoked by architect BEFORE senior-dev claims tasks) write a **threat model** at
`docs/sec-threats/TM-{slug}.md` and append a `<!-- HANDOFF -->` block (see
"Workflow scaffold" below). That is the single convention for every reviewer.

**One TM file per feature slug.** Per-reviewer filename suffixes
(`TM-api-{slug}.md`, `TM-extension-{slug}.md`) are deprecated — consumers glob
`TM-{slug}.md` and per-suffix files silently escape their checks. When multiple
domain reviewers run on the same slug, each APPENDS its own `## {reviewer}
findings` section and its own `<!-- HANDOFF -->` block to the shared
`TM-{slug}.md` — never overwrite another reviewer's sections.

The **Findings / Severity / Verdict** structure below is the CONTENT format that
goes inside that artifact (and inside any post-implementation
