## What it does

Reach for this skill when a run with any Antithesis skill went wrong and you want the maintainers to hear about it. The agent works out which skill was active, reads its version with `git rev-parse --short HEAD` in the skills repo, pulls the agent name and version from its own context, and drops all of that into URL parameters.

The URL points at the `bug_report.yml` template in `antithesishq/antithesis-skills`. Values are percent-encoded. Two fields stay blank on purpose: `expected` and `context`, because only you know what you expected and which logs to attach. Total URL length is capped at 2000 characters, so when it overflows the agent trims the summary and the self-assessment first, drops the self-assessment next, and as a last resort keeps only the skill name, version, agent and title.

Nothing is submitted for you. The agent opens the link or prints it, you review the fields, add your own details and hit submit. No browser around? You copy the URL by hand — that is the one rough edge here.

## Requirements
- Works with: GitHub

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add antithesishq/antithesis-skills --skill antithesis-skills-feedback -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/antithesis-skills-feedback/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/antithesis-skills-feedback/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add antithesishq/antithesis-skills --skill antithesis-skills-feedback -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/antithesis-skills-feedback/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add antithesishq/antithesis-skills --skill antithesis-skills-feedback -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/antithesis-skills-feedback/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install antithesishq/antithesis-skills antithesis-skills-feedback
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/antithesis-skills-feedback/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add antithesishq/antithesis-skills --skill antithesis-skills-feedback -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/antithesishq/antithesis-skills --path antithesis-skills-feedback
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/antithesis-skills-feedback/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add antithesishq/antithesis-skills --skill antithesis-skills-feedback -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/antithesishq/antithesis-skills/tree/HEAD/antithesis-skills-feedback/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- report a failure in an Antithesis skill to its maintainers
- build a GitHub issue carrying the skill version and agent name
- describe a bug once instead of retyping it into the issue form
- open a ready bug report form without filling fields by hand

## Example prompts
- the antithesis-triage skill crashed while parsing results — file a bug report
- open an issue about a problem with antithesis-setup
- I want to give feedback on an Antithesis skill, prepare the link

# Antithesis Skills feedback

**Skill version:** `2026-10-21 4f8d80b`

Help the user file a bug report against the Antithesis skills by opening a pre-filled GitHub issue.

## Base URL

```
https://github.com/antithesishq/antithesis-skills/issues/new?template=bug_report.yml
```

## Pre-filling fields via URL parameters

GitHub issue templates accept query parameters to pre-fill fields. Each
parameter key corresponds to the `id` of a field in the template. Append them as
`&<id>=<value>` with values **percent-encoded** (spaces → `%20`, newlines →
`%0A`, etc.).

The available fields are:

| Parameter           | Type     | What to fill                                                                                          |
| ------------------- | -------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `what-happened` | textarea | Brief summary of what went wrong. Keep to 1-2 sentences — the user will elaborate. |
| `expected` | textarea | Leave **blank** — only the user knows what they expected. |
| `skill`             | input    | The skill that was active (e.g. `antithesis-triage`, `antithesis-setup`).                             |
| `skill-version`     | input    | Run `git -C <skills-repo> rev-parse --short HEAD` to get the commit SHA.                              |
| `agent` | input | The agent name and version (e.g. `Claude Code 1.0.20`). Use the agent info available in your context. |
| `agent-explanation` | textarea | Your honest self-assessment: what did you do, and why did it go wrong? 2-4 sentences max. |
| `context` | textarea | Leave **blank** — the user can add screenshots and logs themselves. |

You can also set the issue `title` via a `title=<value>` parameter.

## How to construct the URL

1. **Identify the skill** that was being used when the problem occurred.
