# antigravity-cli

Send Antigravity CLI a bounded investigation, review, or implementation task, then track its progress. Useful when you can inspect the agent’s result.

## What it does

This skill runs the installed, authenticated `agy` CLI as an external coding agent. A helper script returns a task ID while a background worker handles the task. You can check its status, wait for a result, send a follow-up in the same conversation, or cancel it.

The script needs Python 3.12+ and uses the standard library; Antigravity CLI must already be installed and authenticated. The helper surfaces tool errors and permission denials, but a completed turn does not verify its own claims or edits. Inspect the diff and output files. Cancelling stops the process, not changes it has already made.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scarletkc/agents --skill antigravity-cli -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/antigravity-cli/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/antigravity-cli/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scarletkc/agents --skill antigravity-cli -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/antigravity-cli/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scarletkc/agents --skill antigravity-cli -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/antigravity-cli/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scarletkc/agents antigravity-cli
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/antigravity-cli/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scarletkc/agents --skill antigravity-cli -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scarletkc/agents --path skills/antigravity-cli
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/antigravity-cli/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scarletkc/agents --skill antigravity-cli -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/scarletkc/agents/tree/HEAD/skills/antigravity-cli/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- delegate a bounded investigation to Antigravity CLI
- track a background task and inspect its result
- send follow-up instructions in the same conversation
- cancel a task and review its partial output

## Example prompts
- Ask Antigravity to inspect error handling in `src/` and report which files need changes.
- Run this function review through Antigravity, wait for the result, then inspect the diff.
- Send Antigravity a follow-up to edit only `src/parser.py`, then check the changed files.

# Antigravity CLI

Use the installed `agy` CLI as an external coding agent. The bundled client
returns a task ID immediately and keeps a background worker available for
follow-ups. It runs each turn with official streaming JSON input/output and
resumes the exact Antigravity conversation on the next turn. Waiting for the
process and stderr to finish makes permission denials and partial-output
timeouts visible; each follow-up incurs CLI startup time.

Delegate when the user requests Antigravity or another agent can add value
that you can verify. Keep routine work with the supervising agent when the
extra startup and review time would outweigh that benefit.

Antigravity CLI must already be installed and authenticated. Run
[scripts/agy.py](scripts/agy.py) with the project's Python 3.12+ interpreter.
The helper uses only the standard library; when the project has no Python
environment, `uv run --python 3.12 <script> ...` also works. Resolve the
script relative to this skill, not the project receiving the task.

## Assign and follow up

Provide the goal, absolute working directory, relevant files and evidence,
scope, and completion check. Antigravity does not inherit the supervising
agent's conversation. Use a UTF-8 prompt file for substantial instructions:

```sh
python <script> start --cwd <absolute-project-path> --prompt-file <task-file>
python <script> wait <task_id> --timeout 30
python <script> status <task_id>
python <script> reply <task_id> --prompt-file <follow-up-file>
python <script> cancel <task_id>
python <script> close <task_id>
```

Keep independent work with the supervising agent while the task runs.
`wait` timing out only returns a snapshot; it does not cancel the task.
`reply` is accepted after the current turn finishes. Retain the `task_id`
and close the worker when no more follow-ups are needed.

The helper supplies both the process working directory and `--add-dir`.
For concurrent edits to overlapping files, use separate worktrees and pass
their paths as `--cwd`; the helper does not create worktrees. Check actual
output paths, since Antigravity can also write to its conversation artifacts.

## Configuration and permissions

Inherit Antigravity's authentication, model, and permission configuration.
Subscription and API authentication remain Antigravity's responsibility.
Do not switch providers, change authentication, or rewrite its global
settings to conceal a failure.

`start --model`, `--effort`, `--mode`, and `--sandbox` are task-specific
overrides. Honor the user's model or effort choice. Otherwise choose effort
according to complexity, error cost, and ease of verification; omit the
