## What it does

The skill walks the agent through six steps: define the decision and evidence boundary, screen for hard gates, compare markets across a fixed table of dimensions, model unit economics, choose an operating model, and write a localization brief. Every claim gets a label — confirmed, directional, or unresolved. It will not invent search volume, duties, tax rates, or certification requirements; instead it lists the questions you still have to close.

Economics follow a transparent per-unit formula: customer price and seller-paid shipping minus referral and closing fees, fulfillment, inbound freight, duty and brokerage, storage and returns, advertising, currency conversion, and product cost. Each input carries its source, date, currency, and range. VAT and GST stay separate until a qualified professional confirms how they apply. The skill advises running base, downside, and stress cases.

When inputs are missing, it asks one consolidated follow-up question, and for an initial screen it keeps going with ranges while flagging anything that could flip the recommendation. This is not legal, tax, customs, or certification advice. An open compliance question gets marked as hold for verification rather than turned into a rejection of the market. Worth installing if you already sell on Amazon and are weighing a second marketplace.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills --skill amazon-global-selling -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/amazon-global-selling/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/amazon-global-selling/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills --skill amazon-global-selling -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/amazon-global-selling/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills --skill amazon-global-selling -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/amazon-global-selling/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills amazon-global-selling
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/amazon-global-selling/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills --skill amazon-global-selling -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills --path amazon-global-selling
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/amazon-global-selling/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills --skill amazon-global-selling -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- compare several Amazon marketplaces on one decision model
- build a directional landed-economics model with stated assumptions
- list the tax, customs, and certification questions to take to a specialist
- choose between cross-border fulfillment, local FBA, and a 3PL
- draft a listing-localization and launch brief

## Example prompts
- Should I expand my Amazon US kitchen brand to the UK or Germany first?
- Compare Canada, Japan, and Australia for this ASIN and show what evidence is still missing.
- Build a 90-day Amazon Europe expansion plan, but do not guess VAT or compliance requirements.

description: Evaluate and plan Amazon marketplace expansion across countries and regions. Use when a seller asks which Amazon marketplace to enter, how to compare international demand and economics, what tax, product-compliance, logistics, localization, account, or launch workstreams to investigate, or how to build a gated global-selling roadmap. Do not use as legal, tax, customs, or certification advice.
