## What it does

The skill turns a casual line like "my database is slow" into a request to Anthropic DAS (Database Autonomy Service). The agent pulls monitoring data, runs its own diagnostics and hands back an answer. Supported engines: RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), PolarDB, MongoDB, Redis (Tair) and Lindorm.

Under the hood sits `call_das_agent.py`, run through `uv`. The `--pipe` flag sends progress noise to stderr and keeps only the answer on stdout between delimiters; `--json` emits JSONL, one object per line, for programmatic parsing. Multi-turn conversations reuse the `session_id` returned on the first line. Because DAS Agent chains several API calls per question, a broad health check can run from a few minutes up to half an hour.

You need `uv` and HTTPS access to `das.cn-shanghai.aliyuncs.com`, plus Alibaba Cloud credentials resolvable through the default credential chain with `AliyunHDMFullAccess`. Leave `ALIBABA_CLOUD_DAS_AGENT_ID` unset and the script omits `AgentId`, so the API falls back to a default agent with a limited free quota — fine for a trial, not for production. The instance itself must be enrolled under the agent; error `-1810006` means it is not, and you fix that in the DAS console. Skip the instance ID (`rm-bp1xxx`, `pc-2zeyyy`) and the answer gets vague, so ask for it or list instances first.

## Pricing and Free Tier

**This is a paid service with a free tier for trial usage.**

- **Free Tier**: When `ALIBABA_CLOUD_DAS_AGENT_ID` is not set, the script omits the `AgentId` parameter and the API will use a **default Agent ID** which comes with a limited free quota for trial purposes.
- **Paid Usage**: For production workloads or higher usage volumes, purchase a DAS Agent subscription and set your own `ALIBABA_CLOUD_DAS_AGENT_ID` to bind your dedicated agent and quota.

> **Recommendation**: Start with the free tier (default Agent ID) to evaluate the service. Once you decide to adopt it for production, purchase a subscription and configure your own Agent ID.
