## What it does

There is no tracking logic here. The file is a redirect note: the maintained rules for counting AI-assistant referrals and watching generative search visibility sit in `kostja94/open-analytics` under `skills/ai-traffic-tracking/SKILL.md`. This entry stays so that older install paths and links keep resolving.

Installing through the skills marketplace still works, though it brings you nothing beyond that note. The live skill comes from `npx skills add kostja94/open-analytics --skill ai-traffic-tracking`. On the other platforms the install lines call the skill `ai-traffic`, so the name in a command does not always match the catalog entry.

Need the AI-source rules themselves? Take the Open Analytics copy. This one carries no rules of its own and will drift further from the maintained version over time.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kostja94/marketing-skills --skill ai-traffic-tracking -a claude-code
```
```bash
npx skills add kostja94/marketing-skills --skill ai-traffic -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/ai-traffic/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/ai-traffic/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kostja94/marketing-skills --skill ai-traffic -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/ai-traffic/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kostja94/marketing-skills --skill ai-traffic -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/ai-traffic/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install kostja94/marketing-skills ai-traffic
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/ai-traffic/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kostja94/marketing-skills --skill ai-traffic -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/kostja94/marketing-skills --path skills/analytics/sources/ai-traffic
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/ai-traffic/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add kostja94/marketing-skills --skill ai-traffic -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/kostja94/marketing-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/analytics/sources/ai-traffic/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- find the current location of the skill after the move
- install the skill from a repository that is still maintained
- keep old documentation links working
- work out which skill name belongs in the install command

## Example prompts
- Show me where the `ai-traffic-tracking` skill moved to
- Install `ai-traffic-tracking` from `kostja94/open-analytics`
- Which skill name goes into `npx skills add` for `ai-traffic`?

The maintained instructions are in [Open Analytics: ai-traffic-tracking](https://github.com/kostja94/open-analytics/blob/main/skills/ai-traffic-tracking/SKILL.md). Install with `npx skills add kostja94/open-analytics --skill ai-traffic-tracking`. This entry preserves the old discovery path and contains no independent AI-source rules.
