## What it does

The skill provides detection patterns and Python snippets to stop prompt injection before queries reach a model. It uses regex matching for common bypass strings, alongside `nemoguardrails` configurations for input and output dialogue flows. Regex checks run before inference.

For outgoing responses, it integrates `presidio-analyzer` and `presidio-anonymizer` to scrub PII like phone numbers, emails, or credit card details. The repository also includes FastAPI bearer token rate limiting and SHA-256 verification for `.safetensors` files. These validation layers introduce measurable latency, making performance tuning necessary for real-time streaming setups.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill ai-security-hardening -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/ai-security-hardening/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/ai-security-hardening/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill ai-security-hardening -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/ai-security-hardening/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill ai-security-hardening -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/ai-security-hardening/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills ai-security-hardening
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/ai-security-hardening/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill ai-security-hardening -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --path security/ai/ai-security-hardening
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/ai-security-hardening/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add BagelHole/DevOps-Security-Agent-Skills --skill ai-security-hardening -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- block prompt injection patterns and jailbreak attempts before inference
- scrub sensitive PII from model outputs using Presidio
- enforce API key rate limiting on FastAPI model endpoints
- verify downloaded safetensors weights against SHA-256 checksums

## Example prompts
- Implement prompt injection sanitization for incoming chat messages.
- Set up Presidio PII scrubbing on the output text from our LLM completion endpoint.
- Add SHA-256 model weight verification to our model download script.

# AI Security Hardening

Secure LLM and AI systems against prompt injection, jailbreaks, data leakage, and supply chain threats in production environments.

## When to Use This Skill

Use this skill when:
- Deploying an LLM-powered application handling sensitive user data
- Protecting against prompt injection attacks in AI agents
- Implementing output filtering and content moderation
- Securing model weights and API endpoints from theft
- Achieving SOC2 or ISO 27001 compliance for AI systems

## AI-Specific Threat Model

```
Threat                    Risk                          Control
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Prompt injection          System prompt override         Input sanitization, separate context
Data exfiltration         PII in model outputs           Output filtering, DLP scanning
Jailbreaking             Policy bypass                  Content moderation, guardrails
Model theft               Weight extraction via API      Rate limiting, access controls
Training data poisoning   Backdoored fine-tuned model    Dataset validation, provenance
Supply chain attack       Malicious model weights        Signature verification, scanning
Insecure output           XSS/SQLi from LLM response     Output encoding, parameterized queries
```
