## What it does

This skill handles the audio under a video: briefing the track and the sound accents, choosing a source, and walking through the license. It reads `brand-profile` and the video it scores first — length, cuts, beats. Then it works through the SCORE framework: mood and tempo against the hook, build and payoff, SFX on the cuts, and a license plus Content ID check.

The source gets picked by risk, not by how good it sounds. ElevenLabs Music/SFX or stock libraries like Epidemic, Artlist and Soundstripe rank above Suno and Udio here, and commercial rights require a paid tier — free doesn't grant them. Trending or copyrighted music for a brand without a license is off the table. That's the real reason to install it: generative music sounds fine, but the question is whether a claim follows.

The scope is honest. The agent only briefs the audio, picks the source and advises on licensing, Content ID and AI disclosure. The tool generates or licenses the track, the creator bakes it into the video file, and WoopSocial publishes the finished video — it doesn't generate music or add native trending audio through an API. Pure AI music may not be copyrightable, and indemnification is mostly absent, so the skill never promises you're "100% legally safe." Coordinate with `ai-voiceover` when both run: voice and music shouldn't fight.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill ai-music-and-sound -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/ai-music-and-sound/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/ai-music-and-sound/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill ai-music-and-sound -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/ai-music-and-sound/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill ai-music-and-sound -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/ai-music-and-sound/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install social-media-skills/skills ai-music-and-sound
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**

```
### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)
**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/ai-music-and-sound/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works
### OpenCode
**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill ai-music-and-sound -a opencode
```
### Claude.ai
**Claude.ai**
## When to use it
- match a background track to the cut rhythm in a Reel
- pick an audio source that won't trigger a Content ID claim
- work out whether a trending sound can go in a brand video
- place whooshes and risers on the cuts instead of a flat bed
- check whether a free tier grants commercial rights
## Example prompts
- pick the music and sound design for this video, read brand-profile first
- which audio source is safer for a brand, ElevenLabs or a stock library?
- can we use this trending sound in our video without a license?
  The AI music + sound-design skill for social -- original/licensed audio beds and sound design for
  Reels/TikToks/Shorts/videos. Use when someone needs background music, a track, or sound effects for a
  social video, asks which AI music tool is safe to use, or asks "can I use this trending sound/song on
  my brand video?". The real brief is "audio that won't get muted, claimed, or sued," so it picks the
  safest licensed source and never uses copyrighted or trending music without a license. Uses the SCORE
  framework. Reads brand-profile + the video it scores first. The agent briefs the music + sound
  design, picks the safest licensed source (ElevenLabs Music/SFX or stock libraries over Suno/Udio;
  paid tier for commercial rights), and advises licensing/Content-ID/disclosure. The tool
  generates/licenses the audio; the creator bakes it in; WoopSocial publishes the video and does NOT
  generate music. Pure AI music may not be copyrightable; never "100% legally safe." Pairs with
# ai-music-and-sound
The **music + sound-design** skill for social — original/licensed **audio beds** + SFX under a video. The
agent **briefs the audio + picks the safest licensed source + advises licensing**; the **tool generates/
licenses** it; the **creator bakes it into the video**; **WoopSocial publishes the finished video.**
## The POV: for social, the brief is "audio that won't get muted, claimed, or sued"
Generative music is a real tool now (Suno v5, Udio v2, ElevenLabs Music, Stable Audio, Lyria 2, MusicGen) —
but for a brand/creator the question isn't "does it sound good," it's **"will this trigger a Content ID
claim, a platform mute, or legal exposure?"** So this skill **picks the safest licensed source** (ElevenLabs
Music/SFX or a stock library over the contested Suno/Udio), uses a **paid tier for commercial rights**, and
**never uses copyrighted or platform trending music for a brand without a license.** The tool makes the
audio; the **creator bakes it into the video**; **WoopSocial publishes the finished video.**
## Read these first
1. **brand-profile** — genre/vibe fit.
2. the **video/asset it scores** — length, cuts, beats.
## The framework: SCORE
