## What it does

The skill exposes the `agent-browser` CLI for headless browser control through Chrome DevTools Protocol. An agent can open URLs, click and fill elements, read page content, capture screenshots, and save pages as PDF files.

It uses accessibility snapshots with references such as `@e1` and `@e2`, plus semantic finders for roles, labels, text, and test IDs. The CLI also supports waits, JavaScript evaluation, tabs, frames, and JSON batch execution. It is built in Rust and does not require a Node.js or Playwright runtime.

Run `agent-browser install` before the first browser session; this downloads Chrome for Testing.

## Requirements
- Works with: Chrome

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill agent-browser-automation -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/agent-browser-automation/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/agent-browser-automation/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill agent-browser-automation -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/agent-browser-automation/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill agent-browser-automation -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/agent-browser-automation/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install reason-machines/trending-skills agent-browser-automation
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/agent-browser-automation/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill agent-browser-automation -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/reason-machines/trending-skills --path skills/agent-browser-automation
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/agent-browser-automation/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add reason-machines/trending-skills --skill agent-browser-automation -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/reason-machines/trending-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/agent-browser-automation/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- open a page and inspect its accessibility tree
- fill a web form using `@eN` references
- capture a screenshot or export a page to PDF
- wait for a URL, text, or loading state
- run several browser actions through one batch command

## Example prompts
- Open `https://example.com`, inspect the accessibility snapshot, and click the submit button it exposes.
- Fill the Email field with `user@example.com`, submit the form, and save a screenshot as `result.png`.
- Open the page, wait for URL `**/dashboard`, then export it to `output.pdf`.
