## What it does

advisor brings in a separate model as a consultant during an agent task. It receives a briefing and returns guidance, while the main agent keeps responsibility for file edits and the final decision.

Use `/advisor` to turn the mode on, pass a model name to select one, or call `/advisor ask <question>` for an immediate opinion. Consultations are intended before consequential choices, after repeated failed fixes, and before wrapping up non-trivial work. Its state is kept in `.cursor/advisor/state.json`.

Full mode requires a model available to subagents. Check the available subagent models before naming one, because an unavailable slug is replaced with the closest available option.
