## What it does

The skill takes a video link or Shorts URL and retrieves captions via a local transcript module. It emulates an Android client. This avoids cloud IP bans on remote servers. The tool also extracts metadata like the author, view count, and publication date.

Output formats include a three-bullet `quick` summary, a default `standard` note, and a `deep` mode for content planning. The agent saves full transcripts to timestamped text files. It can also deliver files straight to Telegram.

Without the transcript server built at `/root/clawd/mcp-server-youtube-transcript`, this skill fails completely. It strictly requires Node.js and compiled scripts in the `dist` folder.
