## What it does

The skill runs a technical audit and reports by area: crawlability and indexation, Core Web Vitals, mobile, HTTPS, structured data, URL structure, international setups. Every area gets a score plus a fix list, and blockers are ranked first. You hand it a URL or a domain.

Bundled Python helpers run with no connected tools: `robots.py` (including AI bot checks), `sitemap.py`, `crawl.py`, `onpage.py` and `psi.py` for speed metrics. A run can be recorded with `ledger.py` and diffed against the previous one, so LCP, INP and CLS movement after a fix is visible. On pages built in the browser, `firecrawl.py` pulls the rendered DOM through Firecrawl's free tier without a key.

Pages are fetched with `WebFetch`, so the agent needs that tool allowed. Pushing URLs to IndexNow or Baidu requires the `--live` flag; otherwise it is a dry run. Fetched page content is treated as untrusted and not followed as instructions. On-page tags and content are out of scope and belong to `on-page-seo-checker`.

npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill technical-seo-checker -a codex
```
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill technical-seo-checker -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**

```
### Claude.ai
**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills
Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills/tree/HEAD/seo-geo/tune/technical-seo-checker/SKILL.md
## When to use it
- spot pages search engines never indexed
- trace why bots skip whole sections
- measure LCP, INP and CLS against an earlier run
- plan a domain migration with a redirect map
- check what GPTBot and other AI crawlers are allowed to do
## Example prompts
- Run a full technical SEO audit on my domain and score each area
- Build a migration checklist from the old domain to the new one
- Check how the site treats AI crawlers: allow retrieval, block training
# Technical SEO Checker
This skill performs comprehensive technical SEO audits to identify issues that may prevent search engines from properly crawling, indexing, and ranking your site.
## What This Skill Does
Audits crawlability, indexability, Core Web Vitals, mobile-friendliness, HTTPS/security, structured data, URL structure, and international SEO with scored results and a prioritized fix roadmap.
## Quick Start
Start with one of these prompts, then finish with the standard handoff summary from [Skill Contract](../../../references/skill-contract.md).
### Full Technical Audit
```
Perform a technical SEO audit for [URL/domain]
```
### Specific Issue Check
```
Check Core Web Vitals for [URL]
```
```
Audit crawlability and indexability for [domain]
```
### Pre-Migration Audit
```
Technical SEO checklist for migrating [old domain] to [new domain]
```
```
Pre-migration audit: WordPress to Next.js headless
```
The migration flow has 6 stages (baseline snapshot, risk map, redirect map, staging QA, cutover checklist, T+1/T+7/T+30 diff). See [references/pre-migration-playbook.md](references/pre-migration-playbook.md) for the full workflow and red-flag patterns.
### LLM Crawler Handling (GPTBot / ClaudeBot / PerplexityBot)
