## What it does

The skill evaluates domain citation trust relative to a declared peer cohort. It scores 40 items across the CITE framework rather than judging a domain in isolation. CITE is advisory; it does not predict whether an answer engine will cite the target. For single-page reviews, the repository routes to `content-quality-auditor`, while standalone link audits belong in `offsite-signal-analyzer`.

Under the hood, the skill prepares an `audit-run.schema.json` payload and executes `python3 "$AARON_SKILLS_ROOT/scripts/rubric-score.py" score <run.json>`. It pulls evidence from dated backlink exports, structured data, security checks, and search visibility panels. The runtime also checks three explicit vetoes, including active manual actions and manipulation networks. Two verified vetoes trigger an immediate `BLOCK` verdict with no score.

Without a locked peer cohort, market, stage, and domain profile, the audit returns `NEEDS_INPUT/UNDECIDED`. It simply will not guess missing comparison context. Missing evidence items remain marked as `Unknown` because the rubric forbids renormalizing weights around absent data.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill domain-authority-auditor -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/domain-authority-auditor/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/domain-authority-auditor/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill domain-authority-auditor -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/domain-authority-auditor/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill domain-authority-auditor -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/domain-authority-auditor/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills domain-authority-auditor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/domain-authority-auditor/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill domain-authority-auditor -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path seo-geo/evaluate/domain-authority-auditor
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/domain-authority-auditor/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill domain-authority-auditor -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- Audit domain trust against a declared peer cohort
- Verify search engine penalty and link manipulation vetoes
- Identify citation and backlink evidence gaps
- Generate an audit verdict of SHIP, FIX, or BLOCK

## Example prompts
- Audit example.com in the US market against these five same-stage SaaS peers.
- Run the CITE content-publisher profile for mysite.org and mark every private data gap as Unknown.
- Check brand.com for backlink manipulation and manual action vetoes.

# Domain Authority Auditor

Audit one domain's citation-trust signals relative to a declared peer cohort. Produce a complete CITE score only when all applicable evidence and comparison context are present. CITE is advisory; it does not predict whether an answer engine will cite the domain.

## When This Must Trigger

- The user asks whether a domain is trustworthy, authoritative, or citation-ready.
- A campaign needs a peer-relative CITE baseline or rerun.
- Link, entity, penalty, or citation evidence may materially change a domain gate.

## Quick Start

```text
Audit example.com against these five same-stage U.S. SaaS peers.
Run the CITE content-publisher profile; mark every private-data gap Unknown.
```

## Skill Contract

Use `offsite-signal-analyzer` for link diagnosis without a gate, `content-quality-auditor` for one page, and `entity-registry` for canonical entity repair. Compare multiple domains as separate same-profile runs; never score them as one pooled target.
