## What it does

The rule favors functional components and typed state with `createSignal<T>()`. It recommends defining component types, enabling strict TypeScript checks, inferring types when practical, and using interfaces for complex props.

It also covers `.tsx` files for JSX, typed event handlers, `createContext`, and Solid Router. A suggested project layout includes `src/components/`, `src/pages/`, `src/utils/`, and `src/types/`. The glob is `**/*`, while `alwaysApply` is `false`, so the rule is not configured to apply unconditionally. In Cursor, place it at `.cursor/rules/solidjs-typescript-cursorrules-prompt-file.mdc`.

## Install

### Cursor (native platform)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/rules/solidjs-typescript-cursorrules-prompt-file.mdc` — Frontmatter: description, globs, alwaysApply

### Claude Code

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.claude/rules/solidjs-typescript-cursorrules-prompt-file.md` — The paths frontmatter field limits the files: move globs from the source into paths

### Codex

**AGENTS.md**
- Codex reads AGENTS.md: paste the rule text there

### GitHub Copilot

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/instructions/solidjs-typescript-cursorrules-prompt-file.instructions.md` — The applyTo field sets which files it applies to: move globs from the source into applyTo

## When to use it
- type reactive state in Solid.js
- define component props and event handlers
- enable strict TypeScript checks
- organize a Solid.js project structure
- add types to context and Solid Router

## Example prompts
- Review this Solid.js state and use `createSignal<T>()` where it fits.
- Create a component with typed props and event handlers.
- Suggest a folder layout for a Solid.js app using TypeScript.
