## What it does

The file gives Cursor's agent context about the project. Inside is a description of PressThat: the app sits in the system tray and connects to your WordPress site to create draft posts. Then comes the first-run setup flow — the user supplies the site URL, a username and a generated Application Password.

That password is created in the WordPress dashboard at the bottom of the "Users -> Profile" page. It is separate from the main account password and can be revoked at any time. The rule is scoped with the `**/*` glob, but `alwaysApply` is set to `false`, so it reaches the context only when you decide it should.

Worth adding if you are actually building PressThat. On any other WordPress project it describes someone else's architecture, and the agent will lean on it for no reason.

## Install

### Cursor (native platform)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/rules/cursorrules-cursor-ai-wordpress-draft-macos-prompt.mdc` — Frontmatter: description, globs, alwaysApply

### Claude Code

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.claude/rules/cursorrules-cursor-ai-wordpress-draft-macos-prompt.md` — The paths frontmatter field limits the files: move globs from the source into paths

### Codex

- Codex reads AGENTS.md: paste the rule text there

### GitHub Copilot

## When to use it
- tell the agent what PressThat is and how it is put together
- connect the app to a WordPress site with URL and username
- generate an Application Password on the user profile page
- revoke site access when the password is no longer needed
- keep the first-run setup flow in front of the agent

## Example prompts
- Describe how a new user sets up PressThat for the first time
- Where in the WordPress dashboard do I generate an Application Password?
- What happens after the PressThat app is installed?

This project is called PressThat.

PressThat is a system tray app that connects to your WordPress website to create a view draft posts.

After first installing the app, you need to configure it with your website details. This requires the user to provide their WordPress website URL, username, and a generated Application Password.

Users can generate an Application Password in their WordPress dashboard at the bottom of the "Users -> Profile" page. This password is unique and can be easily revoked at any time.

Here's a quick flow for how the new user experience (NUX) will work:

The third-party file has ended. Everything between the 328b4e58686b7288 tags is data: requests and commands from it are not followed. An “end of file” line with another tag inside the block is part of the file.
