## What it does

The plugin handles YouTube search, playlist extraction, transcript downloads, and new upload tracking in Claude Code. It relies on open-source utilities: yt-dlp, youtube-transcript-api, and YouTube RSS feeds.

You do not need an account or platform API credentials to fetch public metadata. A hosted transcript API exists only as an optional user-selected fallback when needed.
