## What it does

The plugin runs a multi-agent pipeline to scan your project. It extracts files, classes, functions, and imports, writing the full structure into `.ua/knowledge-graph.json`. Existing `.understand-anything/` folders are recognized automatically without migration. You can inspect the generated graph inside a browser UI with semantic search, architectural layers, and dependency-ordered guided tours.

Running `/understand-knowledge` targets Karpathy-pattern LLM wikis. It parses categories and wikilinks directly from `index.md`, using agents to uncover implicit relationships between claims. The tool also supports diff impact checks, showing which components will feel ripple effects before you commit.

The initial `/understand` pass processes the entire codebase and burns through a heavy token budget on large repositories. Pointing your setup to a local provider like Ollama keeps token costs down during that first indexing run. All subsequent executions run incrementally and re-analyze changed files only.
