# rustunnel

Create public HTTPS or TCP tunnels to local services from Claude Code. Useful for webhook testing, demos, and database access.

## What it does

rustunnel can expose a local service, end a tunnel, and show active connections, regions, or past activity. You can route TCP traffic to Postgres or place multiple ports behind one subdomain with a `/health` check.

The `create_tunnel` tool launches the `rustunnel` CLI, so that CLI must be installed on your machine. Configure a server address, API URL, and token with `/plugin configure rustunnel`. The MCP server cannot start before those settings are in place. Run `/reload-plugins` after changing them.

## When to use it
- expose a local web server over HTTPS
- open TCP access to a Postgres port
- inspect active tunnels and server regions
- close a tunnel using its ID

- Show my active tunnels and close the one with ID `a1b2c3d4-...`.
- Create a TCP tunnel to Postgres on port 5432.
