# rill

A set of skills that teaches your agent to build Rill models, connectors and dashboards the way the platform expects. Useful when you drive a Rill project from the terminal.

## What it does

The plugin splits guidance into separate skills: whole-project development, canvas dashboards, explore dashboards, metrics views, models, connectors, themes, and the `rill.yaml` file. Each one carries instructions plus a syntax reference, so the agent pulls in the right piece when it touches that area.

Some tools go through MCP and need a running Rill Developer instance on `localhost:9009`, started with `rill start`. With no live server that half stays silent, so check it is up before you ask the agent to reach into the data.

The content is synced from the output of `rill init --agent agentsmd`. These are the same instructions behind the coding assistant built into Rill, now available to your agent inside Claude.

## Install

## When to use it
- write a Rill model with correct syntax
- build a canvas dashboard from a description
- wire up a connector to a data source
- attach an explore dashboard to a metrics view
- set project theming through the project file

## Example prompts
- Add a new Rill model for this table and check the syntax.
- Build an explore dashboard on top of the existing metrics view.
- Hook up a new connector and update `rill.yaml` to match.
