## What it does

Created by Dávid Balatoni in the `wshobson/agents` repository, this plugin equips the agent for binary inspection and firmware audits. It also assists with malware analysis and software protection research.

The plugin focuses strictly on defensive work and CTF competitions. Running it outside authorized research contradicts its design.

Claude Code installs it via the workflows marketplace. It also lists compatibility with Codex and Cursor. The repository is licensed under MIT.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

**Plugin marketplace**
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents
```
In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin install reverse-engineering@claude-code-workflows
```

## When to use it
- reverse engineer compiled binaries
- inspect suspicious files for malware indicators
- audit embedded firmware images for security flaws
- evaluate software protection mechanisms
- solve binary challenges during CTF competitions

## Example prompts
- "Help me reverse engineer this CTF challenge binary and locate the key validation logic"
- "Analyze this suspicious executable sample to identify potential malware behavior"
- "Audit this firmware binary for unsafe default configurations and vulnerabilities"
