## What it does

private-credit encodes the expertise and judgment frameworks used in direct lending: from CIM screening through quarterly portfolio monitoring. Built-in skills cover covenant compliance with headroom thresholds, EBITDA add-back treatment, investment committee memo standards, quarterly package workflows, borrower tracking, and credit model construction. Commands generate deal assessments, full IC memos, covenant compliance tables, amendment summaries, and scenario comparisons flagging liquidity risk.

Skills activate automatically when you upload financial data or credit agreements. Commands use slash syntax: `/private-credit:cim-screen`, `/private-credit:ic-memo`, `/private-credit:quarterly-review`, `/private-credit:covenant-check`, `/private-credit:amendment-summary`, `/private-credit:scenario-analysis`. The plugin works standalone with uploaded files, and integrates with PitchBook, Moody's, FactSet, or S&P Global via MCP servers for live data feeds.

Tailored for $50M–$500M middle-market transactions in leveraged finance, ABL, and specialty lending. Customizable to your fund's covenant severity rankings, permitted add-back schedules, IC memo format, watchlist criteria, and variance thresholds.

## When to use it
- check covenant compliance and calculate headroom against a credit agreement
- convert GAAP financials to Adjusted EBITDA with justification for each add-back
- draft an Investment Committee memo with credit analysis and downside case
- process a quarterly borrower package: update model, reconcile financials against compliance cert, prepare management call questions
- run base, downside, and stress scenarios and identify covenant breach risk

## Example prompts
- Check this credit agreement for covenant breaches — what's the headroom this quarter?
- Write an IC memo for the investment committee, I'll attach the CIM, model, and term sheet
- Summarize this amendment: which covenants tightened, which loosened, what's new
