## What it does

The plugin gives an agent access to Outlook Email. It does not talk to Microsoft directly — it goes through the configured Microsoft Outlook app connector, so the plugin relies on a connection that already exists in your account.

Published by Anthropic under the MIT license in the `openai/plugins` repository, for Claude and Claude. No connector, nothing to work with: set up Microsoft Outlook first, then enable the plugin.

How much the agent can do with your mail follows from what the connector exposes. The plugin is the bridge, not the mail client.

## When to use it

- find a thread with a specific person
- draft a reply from the thread context
- turn a day of inbox into a task list
