## What it does

A plugin for Open Source Program Offices. It walks a repository's dependency tree and tells you which packages take sponsorship money. Everything ships as one skill, `SKILL.md`.

Dependency resolution runs through the deps.dev API, covering npm, PyPI, Cargo, Go, RubyGems, Maven and NuGet. From there the skill checks npm funding metadata, FUNDING.yml files and web search. Every link gets verified, so dead sponsorship pages stay out of the results. Output lists direct and transitive dependencies alongside OSSF Scorecard health data.

Invocation is plain: give it a GitHub owner and repo. No repository means no run, since the whole thing is built around that dependency tree.

## Requirements
- Works with: GitHub

## Install

### GitHub Copilot (native platform)

**Command from the source**
```bash
copilot plugin install ospo-sponsorship@awesome-copilot
```

## When to use it
- see which project dependencies accept sponsorship
- list direct and transitive dependencies with their health signals
- confirm funding links still resolve
- check dependency health before committing budget
- build a case for open source support spending

## Example prompts
- find sponsorable dependencies in expressjs/express
- show sponsorable dependencies for github/awesome-copilot with OSSF Scorecard data
- which transitive dependencies of this repo accept funding
