## What it does

This plugin brings tools for RDF/OWL work: build ontologies, check them with SHACL, run SPARQL queries, and use OWL-RL reasoning. Data ingestion covers CSV, JSON, XML, XLSX, and Parquet; clinical terminology crosswalks include ICD-10, SNOMED CT, and MeSH. Its Oxigraph triple store keeps data in memory.

A change workflow lets you plan an update, inspect its effects, apply it, and monitor for drift. The resulting certificate can be checked by someone else without a network connection or an installation of the software. The Rust engine ships as a single binary with no runtime dependencies. The store is in-memory, so persistent data storage needs to be handled separately.

## Install

In the agent chat (not a shell):
```text
/plugin install open-ontologies@claude-community
```

## When to use it
- turn spreadsheet data into an RDF/OWL ontology
- check ontology data against SHACL constraints
- query a knowledge graph with SPARQL
- inspect the effects of an ontology change before applying it
- map clinical terms to ICD-10 or SNOMED CT

## Example prompts
- Build an RDF ontology from `catalog.csv` and show which records entered the graph.
- Check this ontology against SHACL and explain any violations.
- Compare `proposed.ttl` with `base.ttl` and assess the change before applying it.
